It was the early 2000s, and my friends and I were looking for an alternative to YGO and MTG. The owner recommended giving the WoW TCG a go and gave us a few demo games. We instantly knew it was something we'd enjoy, so we got straight into deck building and headed to our first locals later that week.

After heading upstairs, to my surprise, I saw my best friend from primary school, someone I had lost contact with after moving on to secondary education due to us going to different schools. We played the game a ton, and I'll never forget the times we had with it. For my birthday one year, they gifted me a couple of Landro's Gift loot cards, which resulted in me getting a Swift Spectral Tiger that I still use in-game to this day.

One Christmas, I think 2008, I was given a Tiny Snowman that has lived in my wallet for what feels like half my life.

Our LGS closed around the time Wrathgate came out, so we stopped playing then.

I loved this game, and it had a surprisingly huge impact on my life that lasts even today.

Got these boxes up on eBay rn but thought I’d repost in here to to try and find a buyer just let me know 12 epic collection boxes from USA and specifically South Carolina

Hello i have full pack of ce tcg set, is it worth anything?

I played a few games of drafting this with a friend recently, via the booster generator on wowtcgportal I think the site was called? And we noticed that none of the boosters generated ever had any hero cards in them. So I'm now curious if that's an intentional thing and heroes were always sold separately while the game was in print, or if that's just a way to make draft easier nowadays, or what? And if they were sold separately, how were heroes meant to work in draft? Could you just pick any hero you had on hand regardless of what set you were drafting?

Came across this sub just after having gone through some of what I had from the first blizzcon back in 2005 - figured people here could appreciate the collection. Ton more other memorabilia as well but this covers the cards I have. The binder and box both are full of cards but not sure if they're of any value really just some fond memories.

I bought this off eBay like 16 years ago. I believe this is how it was packaged at Blizzcon 2007. Wondering if anyone knows what is in between these? It appears like a folded paper. Also what would this be worth?

I recently dug out my old World of Warcraft TCG collection and it's got me seriously considering learning/relearning the game and playing again.

I know the game has been discontinued for years, but before I go too far down the rabbit hole, I'm curious: are there any WoW TCG players or former players around South Jersey/Philadelphia who would be interested in some casual games?

You don't necessarily need to own cards. I've got enough of a collection that I should be able to put together multiple decks.

Not trying to start a league or tournament right now—just seeing who's out there. If there's enough interest, maybe we could eventually arrange a casual WoW TCG night somewhere local.

I would like to start invest some time in this tcg serie. As close to playing WoW for 20 years I really love the art, stopped playing for now and would like to begin here a new adventure.

It’s just pretty overwhelming, so many different things to buy and choose so far I could see😅

I just read about it that there’s a solo mode, which would be really great as a mostly solo player. There are dungeon/raid decks you could solo. But more I don’t really know about how to start this further.

Would be really appreciate it if someone could guide me a little forward with what to buy to start both collecting and playing.

I’ve noticed that on all the equipment cards, on the right side where the classes are displayed, there are dark or black lines running across the class icons. This pattern is exactly the same on every card—it doesn't vary at all. Does anyone know why this is? It’s normal, right? I’ve attached an image highlighting what I’m referring to. Thanks, everyone.

I have a question regarding the timing and possible triggers and chain resolution with the following cards:

Shadala - 2 / 2 priest ally - 'When you play an ability, you may destroy target ability'

Snipe - Instant ability - 'When the next ability, ally or equipment enters play, destroy it'

The questions are:

1. If an opponent plays Shadala, then I add Snipe to the chain via Instant, when resolving the chain, Shadala would be destroyed coming into play afterwards, right?

2. If that opponent also plays an Instant ability after Snipe, that ability wouldn't trigger Shadala's destroy ability, as she is not currently in play and is still in the chain, correct?

My play group was divided if the Instant ability would trigger Shadala while she is still in the chain and not into play yet. I assume Snipe is also played correctly and can respond to Shadala being played to destroy her as it enters.

Hello everyone!

I wanted to share a little project I’ve been working on: custom raid and dungeon boxes for fan-made WoW TCG raids and dungeons.

I thought it would be a fun way to show some appreciation for the people who are keeping the game alive by printing proxies, and putting together custom sets. If we’re going to make all these cards, why not give them proper boxes too?

I started with a pretty lazy design using AI (I’m definitely not a graphic designer) and then tried to find something that could work as a physical box.

I ended up buying these plastic cases that are designed to hold 16 CDs. They actually look surprisingly similar to the original WoW TCG plastic cases. They came in packs of 10, and the cards fit inside really nicely and snugly.

The only issue is that for some of the bigger raids, one case isn’t quite enough, so I’ll need to use two cases.
Anyway, this is my first iteration, and I’d love to hear what you think!

Any suggestions for improving the design, making the boxes look more authentic, or better ways of storing the cards are very welcome :)
