John Mearsheimer released a new video recently that covers exactly the topics and hustory we've been discussing (well, I've been discussing and you've been glossing over). This video, Why Hamas Really Attacked on Oct. 7th, offers a great overview on the history of pre-Isreal Zionsim in Palestine as then post-1948 Israeli occupation.

Arab Muslims have no stronger claim to lands in that region than any other group. It's been passed around from one culture and nation after another for thousands of years, and this is a dispute that's lasted that long.

In 1947 the world had enough and developed a compromise which would give the Jews a relatively tiny plot of land so they could self govern. Muslims, following the Koran which forbids them to allow unbelievers to self govern in their midst, refused the deal and has been on a Jihad based genocide plot using terrorism ever since.
