I create this user name 9 fucking years ago...

Anyone paying attention knew this was coming and there's nothing we can do because half the country is dumb as fuck.

u/MelangeBot 8h ago

I am Canadian, I know how to fly drones now. (Started 4 years ago). My buddy frank knows how to fly drones now. His dad learned it as well. My room mate learned how to fly drones. Everybody at our RC club also start doing drones. I got 5 x 5 inch drones now and 3 x 7 inch drones. Some of my friends are farmers and they have money. I know a farmer that has been buying up those giant drones they use for crop spraying. Especially DJI, when they stop working and it's to expensive to ship em back for repair or when DJI does not want to service them. He buys non working giant drones and repairs them with his own hardware. He showed me a basement in his barn he build with 40 of these in.

Anyways, not everybody has been sleeping.

When the US finally moves it's little green man in to Alberta, in to Calgary and Edmonton they will not get in to many arguments with Canadians. The time of talking is over. Nazis only understand the language of violence. If Ukraine can hold it self against a nuclear power run by a madman then Canada will hold it self against a nuclear power run by a madman with silly hair.

It’s far more than half, a third are trumpians, a third are too lazy to vote and the last third too cowardly to protest.

33

u/Trump_Russia 9h ago

You have no idea how many people have been protesting across the US for years it just gets less and less media coverage as the rich buy up more and more of our media.

Plus the US is huge, trying to get millions of people to congregate in DC or somewhere like that is such a logistical nightmare... and don't forget our system is set up so if you lose your job because you flew across the country to protest, or got arrested, you also lose your health insurance.

It's not as simple as a third are too cowardly...

Seriously. I voted against Trump three times. I’ve been to protests. I called my representatives. I did everything I’m supposed to. I feel like I’m just strapped into a roller coaster going straight to hell with Trump and Musk and Miller and Hegseth in the front and I can’t get off. My priority right now is making sure my kid has health insurance and food and clothes.

Honestly, the world’s richest man is interfering in our government. The billionaires run social media that’s giving MAGA their narratives. What the hell am I supposed to do besides take care of my family? Stand outside my tiny city hall by myself with a sign saying “Trump sucks”? They know and don’t care. I can’t make them care.

u/DiabolicalSpaceKitty 8h ago

and don't forget our system is set up so if you lose your job because you flew across the country to protest, or got arrested, you also lose your health insurance.

That didn't stop J6'ers, but go off queen.

9

u/Aware_Rough_9170 8h ago

Ya they literally were all unemployed fucking QAnon weirdos that they knew they could rule up

2

u/BaronGrackle 7h ago

J6 failed. That mob had the support of the sitting president, and it failed anyway.

It's been a long time since rioting has produced the change that rioters wanted to happen.

France tried it in 2023, and it didn't work for them either. They're trying it again now, so we'll see how that goes.

3

u/DiabolicalSpaceKitty 6h ago

I didn't suggest rioting, I was pointing out that several thousand of these dipshits managed to show up on the spot. What they did while there is beside the point. The point is they got there.

I'm not American but hearing all the reasons why no one can do anything while at the same time ignoring the possibilities of collective action just makes you all sound like people justifying not leaving your abusive ex. You know things are bad but you won't do anything about it, despite the fact that when ALL of you run a general strike, or do a collective action like boycotting, or anything like that then you're able to do things you can't do alone.

You keep acting like you're the only country in the world to have ever gone through this, but you're not and everyone else who has seen this song sung before watching the general public constantly justify why they shouldn't do anything but hope for the best from what will clearly be a rigged vote thinks it's fucking ridiculous.

1

u/BaronGrackle 6h ago

For you, the point is they "got there". For me, the point is they failed. They had the president on their side, and they still failed. They'd be in jail right now still, if Trump hadn't been re-elected.

Trump got power twice through our elections, zero times through protests or riots. We've removed Trump once through election.

We have more elections coming in a few weeks. We're going to try what's worked before.

3

u/DiabolicalSpaceKitty 6h ago

For me, the point is they failed.

Of course, because that has fuck all to do with the fact that a bunch of Americans decided to take political action and went there to protest. So it was what, a few thousand MAGA? Your country has 350 million people and I'm supposed to just look at those numbers and be like "oh yeah I can see how you might only max out at like 2000 protesters, how silly of me".

What a bunch of disingenuous bullshit

2

u/BaronGrackle 6h ago

Well, your take on the situation is disingenuous bullshit. We're over here on the verge of midterm elections, with a real chance of steering the ship away, and you want us to march around and get arrested and shot? Just so rightwing news can blare those images in the next few weeks to distract conservative voters from reality and convince them to vote Republican?

Sir, you are trying your best to manipulate us into keeping Trump and his MAGA in power. Well, fuck no to that. Thanks but no thanks.

I'm doing my part. You can do your part by not being a MAGA tool.

When did you last go to a protest?

3

u/Sea_Produce_4801 8h ago

👏 on you handle

What do you think of the data centres knock outs ?

Apparently Elon Musk likes have dropped by 90%

Starlink had a reduced service to Ukrainian forces last night!!?

2

u/Dookie_HowserMD 9h ago

Feels like we’re held hostage

1

u/samsonite441446 6h ago

Lol If you keep calling them dumb they will lean into it

People have been thrashing the opposition for so long and I think its not giving the results theyd like.

12

u/Complex-Source-7224 9h ago

Apathy has set in.

13

u/AdminClown 9h ago edited 9h ago

No Kings protests were huge. Protests like this only work when there is a semblance of a conscious on the ruling party, there is none at the moment.

All that there is left is to try to vote them out in the coming midterms. All that you are basically asking for in comments like this is to people to go out to riot and/or risk their livelihoods and well being on a small chance to cause change.

EDIT: No kings protest were magnitude larger than George Floyd, just not sustained enough. The Floyd protests happened during Covid where people had unprecedented free time and institutions were closed so there was no need to be somewhere else. No Kings happened in a normal year, and still drew magnitude larger single day crowds.

8

u/SP0oONY 6h ago

No kings protests were and are a joke. 1 Saturday every 6 months where people pat themselves on the back as if they've done something.

It's worse than doing nothing. It's doing nothing then feeling smug about it. I suspect Reddit will be awash with pictures of the next No Kings protest with everyone talking about how amazing they are, just like the last ones.

1

u/AdminClown 6h ago

You are basically trying to incite people to go commit acts of violence or to put an entire halt and/or damage their lives on the off chance to achieve some change. The current goal is to flip everything in the midterms that is what can be achieved.

You are worse than the people that show up to take pictures and pat themselves as the back as you claim, you sit around on Reddit complaining about Reddit and wanting people to potentially cause irreparable damage to their own lives while you sit back.

3

u/SP0oONY 5h ago

I'm not American, I have no power to change anything in the US. The people in the US do, but they aren't even willing to protest every weekend let alone at a time and place that might cause disruption. 1 Saturday every 6 months, that's their limit.

The American public have shown the world what they are.

4

u/Careless-Gain6623 5h ago

Americans only have one reaction and it's reeeeeeeeeeing on the internet that there is nothing they can do between a one night a year protest and personally shooting the president. The world sees through your bullshit and is rightfully turning on you! 👋

1

u/After_Permission9484 2h ago

It's a legal block party for 3 hours, not a protest. You have police going "these losers had their fun as we watched them for 3 hours and all went home like good little boys."

•

u/mastercat202 57m ago

No kings are large but a joke. What have they accomplished?

2

u/[deleted] 9h ago

[deleted]

3

u/Buntschatten 9h ago

That's a straight up lie. Repressions in the US are (still) much much softer than Russia or China.

5

u/platypus_boi 9h ago

Pretty sad to see Americas feeling like they have let it get to the point where they are comparing themselves with Russia lol.

Cry me a river bro. You guys have so many rights you are just too lazy playing on your phones.

Fuck it! Let’s give up.. what a mentality.

-2

u/z-tayyy 9h ago

Nah it’s just a very big country and spread out enough to where it legit feels like different countries and is very hard to get that many people to agree on anything at all, plenty of people are pro-fascist and anti-fascist here. It’s the size of Germany, France, the entire UK, Italy, Spain, and Netherlands combined. Plus right wing extremism is on the rise across the globe you just consume a lot of American media so it seems like we are the only ones with shit leaders apparently.

3

u/platypus_boi 9h ago

You have one of the most shit if not the most shit leader on the planet right now.

You have no clue what type of media I consume nor where I am located.

3

u/meechmeechmeecho 8h ago

That shouldn’t be surprising. Why would Americans care more about a war on the other side of the planet than their own domestic civil rights?

3

u/HuudaHarkiten 7h ago

The original question was "Genuinely asking, are there no protests going on in America right now about the state of your country?" not about Ukraine.

-2

u/getpoopedon 9h ago

Anti-Trump "No kings" protests were ranked the highest single day protests in American history. Y'all just hate Americans. Yet you cannot stop using American website reddit . com. Ironic lol

11

u/jhoogen 8h ago

That is the exact attitude that makes us hate certain Americans. The arrogance.

5

u/Wanted_Solicitation 9h ago

When were they? Sorry I’m not American

6

u/getpoopedon 9h ago

June 2025, October 2025 and this past March 2026. Each protest has been larger than the last, with the most recent one having 8 million participants nation wide. There is another one scheduled October 17th.

6

u/ThoughtShes18 9h ago

If you think a single day of protesting would do anything, I have bad news for you. And no it doesn’t count when there’s been 3 (soon 4) in a span of 16 months

0

u/getpoopedon 9h ago

You sound defeated. Good luck with that

4

u/DrUnnecessary 8h ago

Better than being silently conquered I guess...

0

u/getpoopedon 8h ago

Says you lol keep silently scrolling American website reddit . com. I'll be in the street October 17th, and in the voting booth November 3rd.

4

u/Wanted_Solicitation 8h ago

God no wonder they don’t listen.

A days protest, 3 times a year…..

Pathetic, at least the French give a fuck, never thought Americans would be such pussies tbh

3

u/XRT28 7h ago

at least the French give a fuck

Lots of people in the US give a fuck but the thing is in the US we have much weaker worker protections so people can't just miss time as easily without getting fired.
And because in the US health insurance is largely tied to your employment if you lose your job you lose your healthcare.
Then there's the fact that the US is much larger geographically so it's more difficult for protesters to mass together outside of certain metro areas like NYC or LA.

2

u/Wanted_Solicitation 7h ago

lol fucking hell, absolutely pathetic.

-3

u/Ryokan76 9h ago

They stood around on street corners, wearing silly costumes and waving placards with funny messages.

They think that will stop a guy like Trump. They think that will stop their country from sliding into tyranny.

6

u/PresentOlive4845 9h ago

The duality of bots: Constantly asking "why don't they protest?" while either ignoring or mocking actual protests.

1

u/Wanted_Solicitation 8h ago

Because you’re doing it wrong, it’s pathetic.

5

u/getpoopedon 9h ago

That's what a protest is. You want a violent insurrection. Sorry, but two wrongs don't make a right. What country are you from, I'm curious?

8

u/flybydenver 9h ago

This regime has been baiting us into violent protest, for years now, so they can declare martial law. We are too smart to fall for it. I applaud how the citizens of Minneapolis responded, en masse, peacefully, and helping their community and each other through mutual aid. Fascists depend on violent backlash, to further justify their stranglehold. It is our collective power of love, truth, community, and diversity, that will end this.

6

u/getpoopedon 8h ago

100% I honestly thought we'd take the bait after Alex Pretti and Renee Good, but it seems Americans understand exactly what you're saying. This admin wants us to respond violently, so they can enact more fascism in the name of security. Don't. Stay calm and vote. We'll build monuments for Alex and Renee when this is all over. Their sacrifice won't be forgotten by real Americans.

-2

u/ITDummy69420 8h ago

Yeah because they aren’t enacting more fascism and corruption every day! Yeah go us!

6

u/getpoopedon 8h ago

Do something then. Or are you too afraid? It's ok to be a coward. Alex and Renee were brave Americans.

-1

u/ITDummy69420 8h ago

And they died in front of other cowards. Just like you and just like me.

1

u/Wanted_Solicitation 8h ago

To cowardly.

4

u/BuffyWouldLoveEpcot 9h ago

Big talk coming from someone who is almost certainly from a country that is smaller than a single state

7

u/Buntschatten 8h ago

You obviously need sustained protests.

And please stop using the argument that others are on an American website, therefore America is the best 🦅 REEEEE. It's one of the stupidest maga talking points.

-4

u/getpoopedon 8h ago

I'm anti-maga but it's true the world is addicted to American social media like reddit and Instagram. Hell even Russians are addicted to the fruits of our collective labor. Whatever country you're from, it probably still collaborates with US military. So maybe take a look at your own government before trying to tell Americans how to run theirs.

4

u/Buntschatten 8h ago

Anti-maga, but still shouting obvious American supremacy talking points. It's what I've come to expect from Americans. You're still blind to the reason Trump was so popular in the first place.

0

u/getpoopedon 8h ago edited 5h ago

Oh? And where are you from?

Edit: they never answer lol

1

u/trampstamp1969 8h ago

I like hotdogs too, I just try not to think where they came from.

1

u/jhoogen 8h ago

We are telling our governments that.

0

u/Asttarotina 8h ago

> single day protests

Gotcha. Until that 1 turns into 100 we'll consider that y'all are OK with what's going on.

1

u/dokikod 8h ago

The Republicans are cowards and have the majority in the House and Senate. November 3rd is the mid term election where we can vote and change the majority to Democrats. Then something can be done about this lawless administration. There is another No Kings Rally combined with go vote this Saturday, October 17, 2026. Our last No kings rally had 8 to 9 million people across the country.

1

u/abrakadaver 4h ago

You are wrong. We do. We aren’t able to stop this. We couldn’t even get 1/6 asshats properly prosecuted like all republicans in the senate and Trump. It’s over. People don’t understand how big America is and the burden of flying to do to protest (USELESS AS THEY DONT CARE). We vote, we protest (done it for decades, absolutely useless in this corporate country). Corporations roll over workers and pay all politicians. This country is over.

-1

u/Obvious-Human1 9h ago

Some Americans care. But also speaking out will end your job, professional license, rental lease ends suddenly. You may be arrested and for sure targeted.

2

u/HuudaHarkiten 7h ago

speaking out will end your job, professional license, rental lease ends suddenly. You may be arrested and for sure targeted.

To be honest, that alone sounds like you guys should be rioting.

3

u/Wanted_Solicitation 9h ago

That’s not true

2

u/Obvious-Human1 9h ago

Did you not see that DOJ is using AI/flock to source protestors? News this week. Link added

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/6132431-white-house-fbi-whistleblower/amp/

0

u/Buntschatten 9h ago

That article says they're trying to open investigations. If that's enough to stop people from protesting I don't know what to say.
