Not just you, buddy. Not just you..

the rest of the world outside of the mindless maga cult understands how stupid and incompetent trump is..putin included.

16

u/sec713 5h ago

Yep. Putin was like "Who needs nukes when I've got this destructive dotard right here in my pocket?"

2

u/botspiderlau 4h ago

Hope we see what he has on him some day.

5

u/sec713 4h ago

I bet it's just evidence of what we already are pretty certain of - Trump was circling the drain, broke as fuck, and made a deal with the devil to sell out the United States to save his own sorry ass.

Not stupid, ruthless. He wants the oil prices down, but can't via Iran, so he wants to give free reign to Russia. He doesn't care about Ukraine, he cares about midterms.

242

u/ness_monster 8h ago

It is stupid. The whole Iran conflict is stupid and there's no way to undo it. There's no winning it either without a major resource investment. Buying essentially less than a days worth of diesel from Russia, whom is importing it from Iran is beyond stupid. Nothing he does is ruthless or calculating, its dumb.

Oil prices are not coming down by midterms regardless of what he does. Even if the Iran conflict was resolved tomorrow, oil companies still have to pay back the government via resuppling the strategic oil reserves. So, prices will remain high.

If he cared at all about any elections he wouldn't have done 90% of the things he has. Its one fuck up after another followed by quagmires of bullshit.

55

u/mOdQuArK 8h ago

there's no way to undo it.

Well, not without groveling to Iran & admitting to fault in starting the conflict in the first place, which are both things that Trump will never, ever do no matter what.

49

u/ness_monster 8h ago

Unfortunately even if trumps entire government was replaced with dems(which i realize is more or less impossible), that still wouldn't happen.

And if it did, it likely means Iran's control of hormuz will be solidified and that will also disrupt markets.

42

u/mOdQuArK 8h ago

Iran has expressed a willingness to negotiate with anyone who isn't Trump or a Trump lackey. They might end up with the power to charge tolls for everyone passing through the Strait, but that would still increase the supply of oil far more at less cost than what is barely dribbling through right now. That won't happen as long as Trump is in charge of course.

6

u/Ninja_Tortoise_ 6h ago

But we have all that Venezuelan oil! Right?!? Right.... /S

2

u/I_only_post_here 4h ago

And Greenland reserves right around the corner! Just stick with us folks, all our troubles are gonna be over in a matter of minutes!

•

u/JyveAFK 1h ago

He gets the bots amplifying that the reason the fuel prices are so high is because of Ukraine, and he's the only one that can blah blah blah.
It'll work on a sizeable % of idiots.

•

u/ness_monster 36m ago

If only those same people googled how much oil or diesel Russia exports.

Its not nothing, but is very little comparatively.

20

u/FILTHBOT4000 7h ago

No, it's far more stupidity than ruthlessness.

AFAIK, Russia is nearly a net importer of diesel/oil. Trump faceplanting while he attempts to suck Putin's weasel cock for gas money will only reduce the cost of diesel by like 10 cents. Russia doesn't have nearly enough of the stuff to move the needle meaningfully.

1

u/snailpubes 4h ago

Not even close to 10c. Maybe 1.5c.

32

u/Kichigai 7h ago

He doesn't care about Ukraine, he cares about midterms.

Ding ding ding. But I think it's less about actually driving down oil prices (I think he knows Russia can't offset the losses in Hormuz), and more about shifting the blame for high prices to Ukraine from the war in Iran, which Americans blame on him, personally, and the Republican party for not trying to reign him in.

I think he believes we are honestly so stupid and gullible that we'll fall for it if he says it. Remember how many other times he tried to deny things we could see with our own damn eyes? Like the weather map with the Sharpie marks on it?

3

u/Hidesuru 3h ago

Well remember... The theater isn't for us. We are never gonna buy anything he says. It's for his base, and they'll believe anything he says.

u/stripedvitamin 6h ago edited 4h ago

Not ruthless, totally and completely compromised. This war is happening because Netanyahu and Putin own that orange bitch boy. Trump buying diesel from Russia isn't just against the law passed in 2022, it's only because he is totally compromised. A puppet. There's good reason Trump has never in his miserable existence said a bad word about Putin. He has even gone so far as to say he trusts Putin more than American intelligence. If that isn't him being Putins bitch then he is the dumbest motherfucker in world history.

6

u/SnarkMasterRay 7h ago

Not stupid, ruthless.

Both can be true.

2

u/PrimozDelux 7h ago

Ruthless and stupid. He's a hyper-moron, there's no way around it

1

u/Constant-Plant-9378 6h ago

He wants the oil prices down,

No he doesn't. Trump deliberately drove oil prices up to enrich both oil barons in Texas AND his boss Putin.

And not only has Trump been continuing attacks on Iran to keep prices up, but now he is planning to use American taxpayer money/debt to buy billions in Russian oil at the inflated prices he himself created, to give Putin money he needs to fund his continued murder of Ukrainians.

Not stupid, ruthless.

This is exactly the case. Trump and his Epstein-Class patrons in Texas are deliberately promoting Russia's ongoing campaign of murder while raking in excess profits and they want to keep this going just as long as they can.

1

u/battousai611 6h ago

It won’t even do anything to lower prices. It was just an excuse to illegally give money to Russia. Basically, following marching orders from the boss.

1

u/robodrew 6h ago

Not stupid, ruthless. He wants the oil prices down, but can't via Iran, so he wants to give free reign to Russia. He doesn't care about Ukraine, he cares about midterms.

Well then he's still stupid because what he is doing will NOT bring down oil prices.

1

u/MrBigglesssworth 6h ago

Then lets make the midterms HURT for republicans and maga.

1

u/Staticn0ise 6h ago

The only time trump is ruthless is when he's SAing underage girls. Otherwise he is stupid.

1

u/Enough-Bunch505 5h ago

It is iranian oil. Russian refineries have been destroyed or damaged and they cant refine enough oil for themselves. Iranian trucks have been seen in Russia.

The US is literally funding iran's war against the US. The US is putting its own national sovereignty and national security in jeopardy, trump is putting isreal's national security in jeopardy.

1

u/ShadowTacoTuesday 5h ago edited 5h ago

It’s not a significant amount of diesel even if Putin keeps his promises. But it’s money for Russia, and what happens now when Ukraine wants to keep destroying it? Answer is Ukraine already stopped after U.S. pressure from this and threats to stop sharing intel.

Article:
“Even as Kyiv backed the truce and said it had paused its strikes against Russian refineries since the announcement, Moscow has continued attacking the Ukrainian power grid, meeting no criticism from Trump.”

Article also mentions how Musk throttled Starlink after Ukraine took out Russian data centers. Understandable I suppose since that’s so much of Twitter.

Pure betrayal.

1

u/sobanz 4h ago edited 3h ago

Hes not ruthless, hes stupid. hes been trying to play the wildcard unpredictable "whats he gonna do shtick" too long, everyones calling his bluff on it now. we COULD fuck up Iran, but we're not going to.

Israel is an example of how being predictable is even scarier than being unpredictable. You fuck with them and you could build a bunker made of kids and they will strike their target through it.

1

u/cottonmouthcandy 4h ago

This. It's also why he won't give testimony in his BBC lawsuit "until next year". Discovery can uncover a lot of BS.

The other networks never should've paid him off.

1

u/Soccermom233 3h ago

trump cares  that he made a deal. that's it.

1

u/Pizzledrip 2h ago

Agreed all he cares about is himself; what can you expect from a megalomaniac who’s been in the pockets of Russia since the late 80’s

1

u/error_museum 2h ago

he serves his own interests quite competently, I'd say

1

u/al8155 1h ago

yeah i wouldnt argue with that.

did you know that trump jr and kushner are major investors and board members for a company that builds AI data centers? has trumps push to accept and embrace AI making a lot more sense, esp with him doing that right after everyone started collectively complaining about it.

u/Thorkitty19 10h ago

I mean were we betrayed if we all knew he was going to fuck everyone else over anyways?

196

u/NickCostanza 10h ago

Yes because of the cruelty in which they (Trump and Elon) have handled this. Not informing Ukraine of incoming missiles has caused the deaths of several and power outages for hundreds of thousands. Deranged levels of evil.

67

u/DJ3nsign 8h ago

Buddy, for these people, the cruelty is the fucking point

17

u/brighterside0 8h ago edited 7h ago

Evil is not strong enough a word to describe them. In fact, I don't think the english language has something to identify these types of devolved sub-species human.

2

u/CakeTester 6h ago

Festering skin tags on incontinent weasel's arseholes begins to cover it.

1

u/T0RNAC 5h ago

Monsters.

•

u/trainwrecktragedy 27m ago

nah as they dont even think about how cruel and evil it is.
its just about money and looking good for stopping a war, that's it

25

u/MattinglyBaseball 9h ago

“We” might have known. However, plenty of others still don’t believe he’s fucking over everyone despite all evidence to the contrary. Ukraine was also still receiving material and intelligence support until now when America is “boldly” (treasonously?) extending an olive branch to the enemy by buying their oil and calling for the removal of the President of the country that enemy is invading. So yes, a betrayal.

7

u/SST_2_0 6h ago

It's why i have such disdain for the non voting left. They all knew, they all still yelled Biden and Kamala bad and they sat out to punish the DNC, not to save anyone or stop any genocide.

They have done so for decades and now ew all suffer from the two most self righteous groups joining together to get Trump elected again.

I just want no more GOP, can we please start there instead of dem eating dem while the right still is 50 percent of congress and can keep being obstructionist?

3

u/FormalMango 2h ago

It’s the same with the “both sides are just as bad” crowd.

No they fucking aren’t.

1

u/arcbe 7h ago

Yes, our entire political system has been corrupted. A single election is not enough to make this big of a mess.

16

u/Positronic_Matrix 9h ago

Putin’s cock holster needs to go.

2

u/pushaper 4h ago

I forgot was trying to remember the first thing that Colbert did to piss him off

38

u/TheBlackDemon1996 10h ago

You have to trust someone in order to feel betrayed.

26

u/MattinglyBaseball 9h ago

He trusted America because America has no reason to support an enemy state like Russia. He feels betrayed because America elected a President that was aided by the enemy and is now aiding that enemy in return out in the open. (They were already aiding them in more quiet ways like canceling the counter offensive cyber task force against Russia. Removing the task force focused on ensuring Russian sanctions are upheld. Taking Russian oligarchs money for son’s wedding. Increasing oil prices, etc.)

1

u/Cool_Virus_8641 6h ago

america does have a reason to keep the war as close to a standstill as it can; America is the world's largest arms dealer and the weapons industry is immensely influential in its politics. every missile, tank and bullet that gets expended in ukraine is a piece of materiel that must be replaced by taxpayer dollars. the longer and more brutal the war is, the more profit the arms industry makes. it's that simple.

3

u/HulksInvinciblePants 8h ago

Exactly. Trump made his position clear from the start. Honestly I’m surprised he has sabotaged Ukraine more.

6

u/Fromagerino 3h ago

Everyone with half a brain knew this would happen if Trump won but the MAGA smoothbrains still managed to prevail because of cHeAp eGgS

3

u/The-Dane 5h ago

oh we all know over on the conservative sub they are celebrating and coming up with all kinds of excuses.

3

u/Thanamite 4h ago

You can only feel betrayed if you think one was an ally and then became an enemy.

Trump was always an enemy of Ukraine.

2

u/OfficerCarrot 7h ago

As an American, I also feel betrayed.

2

u/After_Permission9484 4h ago

Americans betrayed the entire world. But don't worry, the average American doesn't care because "I don't think about you at all". Awful people.

3

u/Freenore 8h ago

He did what he said he would do.

People should instead be asking why such a man ever found himself in the most consequential office in the world to start with. Why did he get elected and why, although this may sound inappropriate, Europe has to rely on a foreign country and can't take care of its own defence. Did they forget de Gaulle's lessons?

1

u/konfuck 6h ago

It also undermines our entire "war" with Iran because the fuel came from there. There is always a new low and it makes me die inside every time

•

u/immaculatephotos 1h ago

Europe too

•

u/pragmatic_dreamer 45m ago

My kids aren't dying yet. Testimony to the hegemon that betrayal is the sharpest word used

•

u/Kreaetor 30m ago

Half of American citizens feel the same. Voting is our only power here.

-2

u/TheMcWhopper 9h ago

How do you feel betrayed as, I'm assuming, an American?
