A giant container ship has sunk while Trump has 100% full control of the Strait?
Well that's not a good look is it.

It's starting to look like he might not actually be in total control of the strait? How could he have misled us all?!

u/BritishAnimator 13h ago

He will probably try to drain the water out of it next.

Just rename it like everything else.

Two. Two container ships...

He meant to do that.

The US is winning too much.

Is that before or after obliteration of their forces?

Hours later, the Antigua- and Barbuda-flagged Cape Dao sank close to the strait, having been hit by a projectile on 23 September

That's a drawn out sinking..

It's going to take decades and trillions of dollars to unfuck the mess the current US administration has created globally.

The destruction on the ocean and shore line habitat this war is inflicting will take decades to recover if it ever does. We really need to stop using oil for energy now before it's to late. Wars for oil and the burning of it is going to destroy our beautiful planet and all for the profit of a few. We don't need to use it for energy any more we could easily eliminate it's use for that within a few years. Just what will it take. Do we need billions to die first, it's not going to get cheaper.

The IRGC couldn’t give a damn about the environmental impacts and their citizens. It’s all about control the situation for their survival.

That is a lovely statement that I agree with.

But how do you suggest every single person on this earth who uses and depends on a machine that uses a combustible engine go about adapting to this new world you're suggesting?

It still take some time yes but for vast majority it could happen fast. There's always exceptions but the more that change the faster the change. There's E.V's now for almost everything and renewable energy with storage is already replacing other energy sources, including nuclear so the time is now.

Learn how to rig up solar panels, an inverter, and a battery, get as many watts as you can afford and replace as much grid as you can.

3

u/Prize-Town9913 12h ago

My point is combustible engines. Farming, infrastructure, transportation. Now factor in third world countries, etc...

4

u/shiny0metal0ass 11h ago

Actually, I'm playing with fully electronic agriculture with things like geothermal battery greenhousing and no-till crop rotation. Obviously nowhere near where I would want my little garden to be but it's something.

But yes. As always, the colonized portions of the world will get fucked harder. Shit will get bad all around, IMO, but it's not like Petroleum is not going away.

I'd prefer to figure it out without the most impoverished of the world starving, but we do gotta figure it out eventually.

The third world countries are actually bypassing/replacing fossile fuels fast, as the change is cheaper faster to install and there's no fighting for recources.

The E bike/trikes use are exploding in the countries that use them the most.

Petroleum products could be used forever and there's enough infrastructure now for that use, it's the burning of it that needs to stop. Fortunately the change seems to be happening faster every year, even if the U.S. is slow.

Lol I'd say we are turning that corner quite rapidly thanks to our government (by accident, of course).

Ya kinda funny that actual climate scientists get ignored but the stupidity of a compulsively lying orange turd is waking people up.

Hey whatever works.

all that destruction all those lives lost hundreds of billions lost all of that infrastructure lost because a child rapist needed to create a distraction

Trump: "how can i blame this on Ukraine?"

5

u/BorderSafe5631 8h ago

“We don't need any help with Iran,” Trump said at a rally in Arizona. “We've done so well there. They've got no — we've got nothing right now. They have no military. Their navy's gone. Their air force is gone. Their radar is gone. Their anti-aircraft is gone, their leaders are gone,” he said. “That's one of the problems. I might have gone too far. I don't know who the hell to deal with.”  Trumpy is getting bored ?

Is Trump and the government secretly paying the insurance companies? Why are these insurance companies so keen on getting fucked covering these Hormuz ships?

2

u/Proud-Season-5105 13h ago

The insurance companies usually have exceptions in the policies for military attacks, mines, and similar things, so they don't have to pay anything. If you sail your cargo ship through a war zone, it's usually at your own risk. Or you can get a policy that actually covers it, but then you'll have to pay huge premiums (huge enough that the insurance company calculates they will still come out ahead even if they have to pay out on some of them).
