A Flameseeking spell in the tip, wind magic in the body, and a Spark spell for when it hits), Illusion based HUDs, and the Enhanced Visual Administration Unit, a beast of a magical slate that uses illusions to condense complex situations, and Sending magic to relay orders, and countless other stuff like that.

Hi guys, I’ve been thinking about sports that would be played in my world and concluded that football would likely still have been invented, but with both teams having guns (highly militaristic society). How do you think this would affect the evolution of football into the modern league system?

Some points to consider:
- The players all get handguns, except the goalie who gets a sniper rifle
- The terrain of the pitch is changed to facilitate taking cover and holding ground. Players are also provided shovels for digging trenches
- If a player is shot and can no longer play on (or dies) they are replaced by a substitute until there are no substitutes left
- A side wins if there are no players left on the opposing side, or if they manage to score the most goals
- If a player shoots and bursts the football it is known as a “gunball” and that player is given a red card and then shot dead by the referee (who also has a gun)

Thoughts?

Might make a new and improved version sometime in the future, since people noted this one leaned a bit too hard into WH fantasy (even though the actual inspirations were Anbennar and MtG lol). No promises, though, I already made too many.

I call upon the wisdom of the crowd: In my homebrew setting, there’s something similar to a reverse Voight-Kampff test—a specialized test designed to determine whether an AI is self-aware. If it passes, the AI is automatically recognized as a sentient being and granted the status of a legal person, with all the associated rights and protections.

For the purposes of the setting, it doesn’t matter how the test works. It just does. The test takes anywhere from a week to a month to complete and consists of 3,895 abstract questions and logical puzzles.

The problem is, I have no idea what to call it. I didn’t want to name it the Turing Test, even though, technically speaking, that’s pretty much what it is.
