There's a particular feeling I get when I have a cold, and I'm wondering if there's an actual word for it.
It's usually on one of those gray, gloomy days when my nose is stuffy, my throat feels weird, and all I want to do is stay under a warm blanket with some tea and something to watch on TV.
For some reason, being slightly sick makes the whole atmosphere feel unusually warm and comforting. It almost reminds me of Christmas, though I can't really explain why.
What's interesting is that the cold symptoms seem to be part of the feeling. If I were healthy, I'd still enjoy the cozy atmosphere, but it wouldn't feel quite the same.
I've felt this since I was a kid, so I thought about nostalgia, but that doesn't really fit. I'm not thinking about the past when it happens. I've also come across words like hygge and Geborgenheit, but they don't seem to cover the illness part.
I've started calling it "cozillness" (cozy + illness), but I'd be interested to know if English, or perhaps another language, already has a word for something like this.
