Hi!! I’m applying to W&M and for a while I was considering ED2 but now I’m not sure if I want to do that anymore. My college counselor thinks if I don’t ED2 I won’t get in but I wanted more opinions. I have a 1480 SAT, a 4.3 weighted GPA and I would be applying for the Art major (my personal statement is about being visually impaired and how that fostered a love for inclusive graphic design). I’m out of state.

Im a prospective William and mary student and I was wondering how the social/party life is. Im not like a huge partier id just like to have the option to go out on the weekends, and ive heard the noise ordinance makes it hard to really have fun.

Also Im worried that the guys there are all, lets be honest, not attractive or very very nerdy and not fun. I probably sound like a snob but I want a variety of people to meet when I go to college.

I'd like to minor in Hispanic Studies. I'm a non-native speaker who took 4 years of Spanish in HS, Spanish 2 as a dual enrollment course at my local university (on my transcript from that university with an A) but I am definitely NOT fluent and I haven't done anything with the language in 2 years. I'd like to minor in Hispanic studies to improve my Spanish, work towards some fluency, and hopefully apply it in my professional life post graduation. However, I am also pre-dental and MUST keep my GPA up so I can't afford to have a bunch of difficult Spanish classes that drop my GPA for dental school applications. Is a minor in HISP possible? Definitely can't have it taking more of my time than Orgo 2 or Physics! Also, are ALL HISP classes taught 100% in Spanish? Would I retake an intermediate Spanish class to get back into the groove? hi guys! i was wondering how the frats are at w&m. obviously there's like a lot of scary stuff going around about frat guys right now and i mean i don't want to stereotype all of these guys because of one thing but i'm just wondering if anyone has any insight on how people are?

i've heard the guys from sig ep are really nice and i've also heard that the majority of frat guys here are not like the stereotypical ones? but at the same time people keep telling me to stay away from sigma chi and delta chi?? are the guys in those ones really that bad?

i don't really know what to think i appreciate anything anyone can tell me

Hey all I was on vacation and bought a cheap cruiser from Walmart. Its a Concord beach cruiser. I rode it around for a few days but im returning home and cant take it with me.

I will caution the right pedal is slightly loose but its nothing that a couple turns of a wrench won't handle.

hi, im a barrett resident freshman at w&m… everyone i know is freaking out because we have fire safety checks in our dorms tomorrow. the w&m residence life regulations says some crazy things, like 10% of your walls cant be covered in posters and everyone is worried that their surge protectors arent actually surge protectors. i feel like this has to be outdated/ridiculous or they just dont care that much for real. but i would kinda like to know for sure.

wondering if any upperclassmen ever had an issue with fire safety checks and if so, what should we take down? anything common that one would typically have that isnt allowed? and if we do have something that isn’t allowed, do they take it from you??

im not super worried ab it but my friends are ao im really asking for them. someone help! thanks!

Just drove by confusion corner and saw (what looked to be) a student ratchet strapping a camera to a keep right sign on confusion corner. Camera pointed towards Richmond Road. Curious as to why putting it there? Or if anyone else has seen it yet. Just makes me weary with the ever present surveillance state that’s happening. (Camera was pointed going down Richmond road).

When is the gym least busy? I want to start going but if it’s super crowded it’s totally going to prevent me from going more often.

3 of my friends and I are hoping to rent a midtown apartment next year. we all want to study abroad in the spring, and we are trying to find 4 people willing to sublet us for that semester. we don’t want to live on campus because myself and a friend have stomach issues so we want a kitchen that’s ours. anyone interested or have tips?

I’m looking to apply for my master’s in School Counseling this spring, specifically the online program. I’m also interested in a dual degree/track in Clinical Mental Health Counseling so I can have flexibility to work in both areas.
Has anyone completed or is currently in the program? I’d love to hear about your experience, especially the workload, online format, practicum/internship, and how manageable it is while working full-time. Any pointers or things you wish you knew before applying would be greatly appreciated!

For anyone who transferred here after NOVA, what did financial aid look like for transfer students. I saw something that said transfer students can’t get school scholarships so I wanted to know how true it is

This is kind of a general question, but how safe do you feel on campus (particularly women)? I understand that there was a reported case of sexual assault and two stalking incidents last month. Are these cases common on campus?

I’ve always been concerned about safety, but I applied and now I am especially curious.
