Hey, kvlt here with a guide to by far my favorite deck in the current meta. I spent some time developing this list since the Ysiel nerf and finally feel like I have enough games under my belt to teach others how to play it. Having peaked at rank 3 and finished top 10 multiple seasons (surely rank 1 eventually), I can safely say the deck isn’t strictly bait. I'd expect this deck to remain competitive in the new expansion, although I don't think it gains any new cards as the list is perfect (I might force Efflorescence, but I don't see it being great in this).
The List:

Why Play this Deck?
This deck is the best counter to both Thief Priest and Questline Demon Hunter, while remaining competitive into other archetypes. Since the miniset, I have played 276 games with this list at top legend MMR on both NA and EU servers. Here is a breakdown of the matchup spread and how to pilot against the common high legend decks.

This is notoriously difficult to teach, and I highly recommend practicing against the Innkeeper first. The concept is simple, but executing it within the rope is brutal.
The most basic win condition is ramping to 10 mana and casting Travelmaster Dungar. However, because there are 6 total minions in the list, playing Dungar with an empty hand risks pulling the wrong pieces—missing Eonar usually means instant loss. Fortunately, you can usually guarantee your pulls by holding 3 minions in hand by 10 mana (though desperate situations will force you to gamble).
Your ultimate goal is to get Malygos, Eonar, and Kael'thas onto the board, then churn through your deck with discounted spells to blast your opponent from hand with Moonbeams, Swipes and UIs. When you have Kael'thas and only cheap spells plus a high-cost payoff (Sleep Under the Stars or UI), look for Nightshade Bud to cheat out additional minions. Finding Aviana off Bud lets you drop Dungar, Eonar, or Malygos straight from hand. Sometimes mana is a social construct and you have double Sleep, allowing you to drop Malygos off Bud and combo with just Kael'thas and Malygos on board.
An example: https://www.twitch.tv/kvlt____/clip/PricklyPlacidHumanRitzMitz-u2BNeJW81hL_9H3Y
Because every game state is completely unique, it's impossible to write a rigid step-by-step guide for the combo turn. Just keep a close eye on your spell cost reductions and make sure you have enough mana to close out the turn. Good luck and have fun!

I’m just tired of it.

Really? A value engine for Warlock, which has much better things to be doing across multiple archetypes, is worse for the format than a free turn 1 6/6 with charge?
r/wildhearthstone • u/Brady_The_Llama • 22h ago
If you plan on buying the tavern pass for the upcoming expansion and don’t plan on grinding pre release tavern brawl shouldn’t you theoretically save your packs until the new expansion releases in order to ensure you dont pull one of the pass diamond legendaries and therefore miss out on a free legendary or am I missing something?

It delays the glinda combo by 1 turn and makes it so bad, granted I have slotted other wincons in the deck but still, blizzard give this card 7 attack please 🥺

I just don't get it all too commonly, like at all. Even if I Steamcleaner sometimes they'll just keep trying to drag the game out either way.

free dust Pog
changed from the treant giving a copy of the last nature spell you cast to just giving a random nature spell; kinda unfortunate but entirely predictable given it was already being used for animation cheating before getting banned in the same wave that gutted [[Necrolord Draka]]

Played since 2016 (gvg) but last balance patches only for standard. 3 decks now is all we see, Azalina is the worst one to face, then its ticktock and quest DH. New expansion wont change anything. Its just depressive to face Azalina, better taking a break and see if its nerfed later. Playing fun decks is also miserable because Azalina steal your cards and play them 3-6 turns earlier than you. Reaching legend rank doesnt rly give any achievement either

On a new server. Crafted and used the best deck in Wild. Had to spend some money(feel a little bit vexed and lil bit surprised) , and sadly i needed to disenchant some cards, in order to obtain the required amount of dust, to craft my deck that i want.
It's fun to have win streak on ranked ladder. Just a short escape lol.
I haven't lost/break this win streak yet.
Ok have fun friends

I want to get the 12 wins in a row achievement. Think it'd be pretty impossible in standard cause I'm near 11x mmr there.
My wild mmr, however, is pretty low. 2 years ago or so I got to gold 10 maybe, and my star bonus rn is x2.
What would be the most consistent deck to get it? The obvious answer would be "just look up best deck on hsguru" but I figure the best deck at top1k legend may not be the best deck in my dumpster mmr.
Been looking at HL shadow priest myself, seems consistent. Suggestions welcome.

Just looking through the journal to see how many wins i had and how far i am off 20k. However, noticed on the other page where class wins are, I'm only at c.9k. That means c.7k of my ranked wins came in Duels!
I miss that mode, I really do...

Hi, I've been getting back into the game recently after many years away, and had a couple questions about Wild. I've always enjoyed non-rotating formats with more powerful options (big Modern fan in MTG), so I typically played Wild. What should I be looking to build as I'm just getting back into the format? (ideally something budget that I can build without having all the resources of someone who's been playing for years and years). Additionally, what have been the modern adjustments to the way the game is played/the wild meta? Taking a brief look around it seems like a lot of the old archetypes I'm familiar with have been power crept pretty bad.
Thanks in advance!
r/wildhearthstone • u/urgod42069 • 5d ago
I think this would still be powerful enough to want to use at 3 mana. Turn 2 is NUTS!
Outside of decks that are going for tribal synergies or have very specific game plans (like OTKs), why WOULDN’T you include this card in every Warrior deck until the game’s servers finally shut down
Warrior has been my favorite class historically, and I love armor-themed decks, so I’m very stoked for this card. But its use cases extend so far beyond decks that want to leverage having lots of armor to do powerful stuff. It’s just all around disgusting

If so, how?
Idk, the deck feels too much strong.
