Hey everyone!
Figured I'd make a relatively casual post here since our office recently had a technician position open up, and we're beginning the search for a suitable replacement.
We're a small MSP, primarily supporting small and medium-sized businesses across a pretty diverse range of industries. As a result, there's a variety in the environments we work with and the issues we encounter.
The position itself is relatively entry-level, with day-to-day responsibilities primarily consisting of:
- General help desk and end-user support
- Hardware and software troubleshooting (break-fix)
- Computer preparation, configuration, and deployment
- Assisting with other technical projects and client needs as they arise
As far as qualifications go:
- A background in IT or a related field is highly preferred (An associate's degree is perfectly sufficient).
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certifications would be a nice bonus, but aren't required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work with a team, and good communication skills are important.
We're not necessarily looking for someone who knows everything right out of the gate. A good technical foundation, a genuine interest in IT, and willingness to learn go a long way.
If you're interested or know someone who might be a good fit, feel free to DM me! I'd be happy to share more information about the position.
