Media Mike Vasil: "Baseball is a game of failure. The guys have a very clear idea of what we need to get better at...when those things start to happen and we're such a young team, this could be the start of something very special for a very long time to come"

Vasil has the potential to be a Stacey King type figure for the franchise. Incredibly charming for media and brand ambassadorship while also being part of the team’s heart and soul. Hope he lasts a long time with the team. Seems like somebody we’ll feel like we never get enough of.

He's handling it way better than I did.

100% because I was screaming and bitching my ass off yes our pitching and all those Ks were our problem in the series. They left many runners on base in my opinion could have scored more runs even in the games they won. The bases loaded in the last three games pissed me off a lot especially because of the Ks and the other two dependable guys apart from our star Vargas struck out four times each in that last game...but yes he is handling it better than probably most fans are.

I see some metrics and some advanced analytics that do bode well for such an insanely, extremely young team. There's going to be some shuffling around. I hope it holds up. I hope players continue to develop. Peters, Murakami, C Mont, Meidroth, Antonacci showed some incredible things this year with room to improve. Miguel Vargas was outstanding and teams were terrified to pitch to him.

Pitching will be a mix up for sure. Who knows what we end up with ultimately I'm confident, at worst, it will be a better mix of "12 pitchers." Hope to see Fedde re-sign.

I’ll take Guys Who Deserve A Hug for $2000, Ken.

That’s what I’m talking about.

Let go of/trade the useless guys.

Bring in starting pitching (that’s our very clear weak spot).

Build on the stuff that was learned this season.

ALDS should be the minimum next season.

I hope that this team and front office takes this opportunity to learn and get better. If everyone plays their cards right, we can end up with a dynastic team in like 2 years.

We lived up to that quote.

The thing about this group is they're all ballers. The last major core were all highly talented athletes who happened to play baseball, for the most part. Hardly a lick of true baseball sense among the lot of them. These guys are baseball to the core. A guy like Vargas or Meidroth isnt going to take anything for granted

Unless this guy plans on retiring and coming back as a coach of some sort for the Sox I don't see where he's getting all this "we" shit from lol.

I know the last thing the Sox pitching staff needs next season is a pitcher that you already know has a questionable arm/health. The last fucking thing they need.

so then you don't want to see Schultz, Taylor, Burke, Hagen next year, gotcha.

Questionable as in coming off a major arm injury.
