Colson’s woes are 1000% a mental issue. When his confidence is shot he couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat. When he’s confident he lays off a lot more pitches and is able to get deeper into at bats. It’s why we saw his huge power output last year. Look at his April stats vs. May/June from Charlotte before he got called up.

He could’ve been hurt tho too. Like, a bad big toe can make hitting pretty impossible. A tight back, a tight hammy, you can play with them if you don’t overextend yourself. Look at Shohei for goodness sakes.

I love how colson strikes out looking then shakes his head at the ump when they have two challenges left. It’s like dude… if you think it’s a ball… there is recourse for that

Different how for Montgomery? I hope you mean in terms of strike zone judgment.

This year was awesome but to be better some faces will have to change.
Why not swap out the guy who set the league record in strikeouts?

Don’t do this. This is a reference to the Bears player that flat out sucks. Why bring this here.

The guy who hit .167 in rookie ball?

You’re hating on the #1 overall pick and getting upvoted by robots

I’m just saying Roch coming to the big club to replace colsen next season is not looking promising right now. Half this subreddit wants to give him the starting job next season. It’s ok to let the kid develop. Instead of bringing them up right away like Beckham, Vaughn and others. Colsen needed more time to develop too.
