Did you mean to reply to someone else? I didn’t say anything about AI being “shit for code,” and I do know what I’m talking about considering I’m in ML. Hence why I brought up Python. We agree on the same thing… My comment was referring to “stealing” and how this is different in programming, as a point about using AI (given you know and understand what the agent is doing).
I don’t understand why you’re being so rude. I wouldn’t be in this field if I had poor reading comprehension, but since you feel inclined to insult me, I’ll tell you plainly: your comment was written in a way that was confusing, given that it was a giant run-on sentence.
I also never said “You should check Google.” I have no idea what you’re talking about, so we can agree to disagree, I guess.
Okay, since you’re very persistent and still don’t get it, let me be extra clear.
Commenter: mentions “if it wasn’t actually stealing other’s people work to make it.” in the context of code.
Mine: it’s frequently taught to Google if said code exists, to take it and paste it. The concept of “stealing” in code is not really a concern, because you are encouraged to use what is there even if someone did it first already, for efficiency. Hence open-source being prevalent, because the culture is different.
That was my comment. It was a true statement about how these courses, like computer science and programming, often mention this. Had nothing to do with “you.” It was about “but it’s stealing code to make code” and mine, “but in programming and even engineering, you are told to take code to make code if someone did it already.”
I’m not interested in engaging further, but there.
