I notice that the loudest most obnoxious minecraft players are the ones who are trying to copy youtubers

Basically the ones who saw Dream SMP and wanted to copy it verbatim and as a result are so invested to try and protect the "minecraft speed run community" not realizing nobody gives a shit outside of their little circle.

Okay but like, speedrunning is exactly the situation where you should not be using cheats (unless the category allows it). If you want to cheat in your singleplayer game go for it. It's only when you're trying to compete that it becomes an issue.

"Only when you're trying to compete" that's the thing...most players are not competing to beat the game, most just want to have fun and build beautiful structures and create doohicky with their friend. If you sat a new player in the game they'd spend more trying to play the game than to actually speed run it.

Yes, but if you don't tell them what is and isn't considering cheating then if they try to get into speedrunning or challenges they might use the cheats without realizing it gives them an unfair advantage.

Nothing is lost by clarifying that things like fullbright and keep inventory are cheats.

True, they are labeled as cheats in the bedrock settings menu.

Personally I keep inventory because I had lost an overpowered sword fighting in the end and was so devastated that I didn't wanna play.

Using keep inventory to make sure friends don't kill and try to steal from other players is also a good reason for keep inventory
