When you get an X-ray the tech puts something like this next to you so it shows up in the picture. Not sure why, even though they told me once.

This might be one of those.

I know what you're referring to, but I don't think that particular L and F would show up on an X-ray

I understand your point. However I'm sure that they are marked with two letters which show up on the x-ray and the ones I've seen in person were engraved similarly.

They were much thicker and larger than the item OP posted, though.
