That doesn't sound as fun as nippers.

Nippers would be if those had little scissor blades of the same length, but one blade was flat while only the other is sharp.

Before granulated sugar was invented sugar came in a big cone called a loaf and people used sugar nippers to break off chunks to use.

End clippers. I wish they made the blade flush with the outside edge, though. Gotta grind them down to get that.

end nipper (I bought one at harbor freight that I used to pull staples and nails out of hardwood flooring and it's perfect for that job.)

You "like it and want to buy it". What exactly do you plan to use it for without knowing what its purpose is?

Ferrule jewelry pliers? For crimping the ferrules on hand made beaded jewelry.
The bigger version are known as bull nose pliers, because they resemble the old iron bull leads that clamped to their noses.

These aren't sharp. Maybe they are fret pliers/pullers for guitars?

Growing up we've always called them nippers. As a carpenter I always keep a big pair near by to cleanly pull out stubborn nails with minimal damage to the material.

It’s a perfectly used word and that is the correct term for that tool. Don’t make assumptions
Shame on you for going there.

End cutting pliers. We used to call them bullnose nippers because they resembled the pliers for crimping bullnose rings

Nippy clippers, or clippy nippers. Whatever flows better in the moment.

Also useful for removing spring clamps like what might be holding a fuel filter onto the fuel line of a small engine.

I came here to say pincer like I was making up the word and see other people saying the same thing. So how the hell did I know what this thing was called? Brains are so weird.

I work in construction and I swear on my life I once saw someone clip their toenails with one of these but a bigger one. The builders use them to tie rebar together with wire then snip the wire with the same tool.
