As promised, here is the hardware-accurate NES/Famicom version of “O Here’s to Wake Forest”. Thanks to the Reddit members that got me linked up with the musical score. Here is a SoundCloud link that should allow you to download the wav file which you can use to make a ringtone or basically whatever you want. https://on.soundcloud.com/ocu0v381srUMQjfMpi

Hey yall! I’m a prospective student attending Day In The Forest this Friday and plan on driving up a few hours early to check out the Winston Salem area. I was wondering what fun (preferably cheap) things there are to do before noon that students really like, or some food recommendations.

Also, this is sort of niche but I really like this music artist who grew up in Winston Salem called Ben Folds. He released some music in the area on cassettes and vinyl that never got an online release or anything and I would die if I could go hunting for that. If there’s specifically any good thrift or record stores, please give me suggestions! Thank yall :))

Hi all, Cal fan coming in peace. I’m an active participant in the Calgorithm on Twitter and one of my schticks is making hardware-accurate NES/Famicom 8 bit versions of our opponent’s fight song for the week. I emailed the band director a couple weeks ago but never heard back. Hoping a current or former Wake band member can help me out with the score including drum parts if you have them. I’d be happy to post the finished product along with a download link for it when I’m done with it. Thanks, and Go Bears, Go Deacs.

Is anyons else super excited to hear back in a couple weeks, last years decisions were on the 24th so im REALLY hoping they release in less than two weeks (on the 23rd). Let me know how you guys are feeling and when you’re expecting to get the status update.

Heard some people talking abt heavy grade deflation is this still true?

I have been attending Criminal Justice at UNC Charlotte, and I wish to transfer to WFU and attend WFU by next spring. Is it recommendable to transfer there even if I do not have a GPA yet? I am a first gen student and major in Sociology focused on Criminal Justice.

My whole family except for me was born in Ethiopia, and I’m a first generation student, but my sister graduated from Wake Forest in 2020, making Wake the first college that anyone in my family had ever attended. When I reviewed my commonapp, I was labeled as a WFU Legacy and also labeled as a FGen. Can this combination possibly be really good for me?

So I have a B rn in ap bio that I’m currently taking but I’ve only ever gotten one B in ap gov sophomore year but I’ve taken/ing 10 aps total, I still have til the end of the year to get my grade up to a cumulative 8 over the 4 quarters, but anyways I was curious is this going to ruin my application?

what are the lowest GPA’s you guys have seen get into Wake? Asking for a freind 😉

Does anybody have a guesstimate on when the next batch of rolling decisions are releasing? I’m guessing October 23rd. I’m basing this off of last years October decisions (October 24).

I’m Ed to wake and was hoping to hear some acceptances from people who didn’t expect it. Maybe a slightly lower uw gpa (even if there are extenuating circumstances) or test scores? Just an acceptance that was a reach!

To anyone who was deferred tonight, do not feel like it is the end of the world, that was me a year ago today, and 7 months ago today I opened a letter saying I was waitlisted. Now I am writing this from my dorm at Wake feeling for those who got news they didn’t quite hope for.

I’ll find out in 3 weeks, ( I completed everything mid september). Just wanted to hear from you guys and what your decisions were.

Sorry I know this is very broad, and can apply to EVERY school. But I seriously know nothing abt WF and am curious the kids are cliquey and uppity. Of course like I said there’s ALWAYS going to be those groups of people, but for some reason I’ve heard a lot of kids at WF are super out of touch. Lmk! I’d love to know more info on this school. Thank you

I’m a highschool senior applying and i heard the program was new so im just curious how it is.

Anyone know when Spring 2027 transfer decisions are supposed to come out?

When do y'all think I'll hear back? I submitted my ED1 on September 16, but I did not do my interview until the 25th.

#34 this year...

For anyone attending wake right now does the student body feel liberal leaning or conservative just curious as a senior who has wake as one of my top choices

I’m a WFU law student looking to play tennis. If anyone is looking for a hitting partner shoot me a dm.

Miami will destroy Wake Forest 52-10. What do you think?
