It’s like she went to JoAnns and bought a yard of the cheapest lace fabric and just tied it on her head and thought “yeah, I look awesome.”

I'm convinced women do this on purpose. I personally wouldn't care if someone did at my wedding but I also understand the universely noted not to wear white to someone else's wedding.
