Tough Times Pregnant on my wedding day

Just found out I’m pregnant and I’ll be 29 weeks pregnant for my wedding.
I have such conflicting feelings because yes, I’m so excited that our family will start sooner, but I’m also a bit sad because of the vision I had for my wedding.
I had expectations of losing weight and looking a certain way for the day, having an extravagant first dance (I’m a former dancer), and just partying and having the energy to celebrate with my family.
Now all that is kinda taken away-I will most likely have a noticeable bump that even my ball gown won’t be able to cover; we may have to replace the lifts in our dance and maybe make the moves simpler bc of how pregnant I’ll be; and I might not even have the energy and kinda worried that I’ll just be miserable the whole day because I would be so tired.
I’m not wishing for things to be any other way because I would absolutely be devastated if anything happened-so for the brides that were pregnant on their day, how did you feel? Am I alone in feeling this way? How did you cope with these conflicting feelings? Did it even make a difference?

At 29 weeks your bump will be glorious, and you’ll almost certainly be excited to flaunt it. You’ll look ethereal, and everyone will tell you that you’re glowing. And if you stay active, there’s a good chance you’ll have plenty of energy!

I really didn’t hit a wall with energy until 33 weeks, and I was still taking full 90 minute ballet classes through 34 weeks.

I was a bridesmaid for my sister at 24 weeks, and other than wrapping up my night at 10pm instead of 11pm, I kept up with everything pretty easily!

My pregnancy has been on the easier side (since I kicked the morning sickness), but I wanted to give you the optimistic view. There’s a good chance it’ll be awesome ❤️

Agreed with this! I was only 14 weeks pregnant at my wedding so a little different but had an awesome time! And didn’t hit the wall really until 34 weeks.

You should definitely still be able to do an elaborate dance at 29 weeks! Everybody gains weight and looks different during pregnancy, I’m at 25 weeks and unless I’m wearing skin tight clothes most people don’t know I’m pregnant, even people I see often. One of the big things I’ve learned in pregnancy is that you need to be willing to play it by ear, but don’t give up on your wedding dreams just yet, unless your dreams involved heavily drinking.

Can you find an opportunity to have a few extravagant dances before 29 weeks?

It’s true that a body in motion tends to stay in motion so if you’re used to dancing and being active it shouldn’t be a problem! If not my sister’s OB told her with the first that if she didn’t have an exercise routine pregnancy would be a great time to start! You’re going to be so gorgeous and it’s going to be even more special because your sweet little one will be with you too.

I was just at a wedding where the bride was about 28 weeks along and I really didn't even notice!I know that it may not be what you envisioned, but it'll still be amazing.
