Hey everyone!

I recently designed and developed this website for a client and wanted to share it here.

Would love to hear your feedback on the design, layout, and overall experience.

Currently open to work.

I need to hire someone to build a site for my court reporting business, but I know so little about web design that I'm afraid of asking for the wrong kind of site. I bought a domain name that's currently parked at Squarespace. I don't know why it's there or how to move it. I tried using Claude to do it on my own, but I'm still lost. I don't have time to try to figure this out. I'm busy court reporting :) Also, none of the templates on Squarespace seem to work for what I need.

Basically, I need a site that will allow clients to submit requests for services, including document upload, that goes to my email and a portal where clients can retrieve transcripts from a secure repository. I'm not selling anything or showcasing anything. I don't want a blog or links to my social media, just an about me and my business page with contact info, depo scheduling, and a repository. This isn't a business that I want to grow. I want to be able to manage clients without having to take phone calls to schedule or manually send out transcripts when they lose their email with the attachment, and very low monthly overhead.

Is this something I can do on my own if I give Claude the right commands? Is there a hosting site that would work better for what I need? If I need to hire someone, how do I ask for and know what I'm getting? Advice appreciated.

Hey everyone, I’ve been building an Australian ergonomic chair brand called KUUL and the website is finally at the stage where I need some fresh eyes on it.

I’ve stared at this thing for way too long, so I’m probably blind to what’s confusing, unnecessary, or just looks bad.

The site is still pre-launch as the business registration is coming through.

The idea is that customers can reserve a chair for a fully-refundable A$10 until 7-days before producton starts.

Then pay the remaining balance once production is confirmed. We plan to collects production orders for 1-2 months, with delivery of the chair in Feb/March 2027.

Please don’t hold back.

One question:

Would you consider purchasing, and why?

What up Designers! figure i try Reddit since Indeed hasn't gotten us much.

I've been running my web agency in San Diego for 21 years now. We're a small team, and I'm looking for a Lead Web Designer who can come in and take ownership of our design work.

I've tried Indeed without much luck. Most applicants are more WordPress developers or builders. Nothing wrong with that, just not what I'm looking for.

I need someone with a really good eye for design. Someone who notices the little things like spacing, typography, alignment, and layout without me having to point them out.

After 21 years, I'd love to retire from being the padding and margin police. 😂

lookin for someone who can lead the creative direction, work with our other designers, and make sure everything is butter before it goes out to clients.

I really like the design quality of https://stripe.com. Not looking to copy their style, but I appreciate that level of polish and attention to detail.

We work on business websites, e-commerce, and landing pages. We're based in Vista, CA, and I'd prefer someone local and in the office, but I'm open to remote for the right person.

Salary is $90k–$110k with healthcare, 401k, and PTO to start.

If this sounds like you, shoot me a DM with your portfolio and a couple of live websites you've personally designed. No recruiters please, just looking to connect with actual designers.

**If your agency or bot, I won't respond***

Thanks!

My website has a videocall feature, and the overlay is above the control buttons, so i checked how google does it in meets..

i just think its funny , thats all.

Hey everyone. I’m a designer and this is my first real freelance job. A client sent a long brief for a one-page site for her print magazine. I’m only designing the UI/UX, not building it. I have no idea what to charge for the design side, so I’m hoping you can help.

• All the art is custom and made by me (stickers, starbursts, doodles, cut-outs, mascots). The client strictly doesn’t want AI art or stock. My art is pretty detailed, so each piece takes real time. You can see my style here: https://vishejeetportfolio.vercel.app/
• The brief wants a different look for every section, so I can’t reuse a template. The style is 90s ad meets Y2K, loud and collage-like.
• The buy section needs two designed states, sales open and sales closed.
• She sent two reference videos with 3D-style animation, page transitions, cursor effects and video backgrounds. I’d have to design and explain all of that for a developer.
• Everything has to work in mobile, tablet and desktop layouts.
• The brief asks for a full handoff pack, so a developer can build it without guessing.

Page sections I’m designing

• Hero with logo, tagline and a big visual
• Clear path from the hero to the buy section
• About section
• “What’s inside the mag” preview (spreads, images, snippets)
• Monthly buy section with two states: sales open (live buy button) and sales closed (holding state that sends people to the newsletter)
• Newsletter sign-up with a value pitch and a success message
• Contact section (form, email link, or both, still undecided)
• Menu that jumps to each section
• Mobile, tablet and desktop layouts

Design and custom art (all by me, no AI)

• Stickers, starbursts, doodles, cut-outs and callouts
• Mascots or caricatures, if needed
• Cut-out photography and editorial image treatment
• Oversized type, loud colour blocks, layered and asymmetric layouts
• A different look per section that still feels like one brand
• Temporary placeholders for any unfinished art, replaced before handoff

Motion and 3D (from her reference videos)

• Designing and explaining scroll animations and moving stickers
• Cursor-reactive effects on the artwork
• Page transitions between sections
• Draggable carousel
• Real 3D (flipping cards or a 3D magazine)
• Video backgrounds
• A lighter version for phones

I’m planning to offer three levels (simple animation, medium, full 3D) so she picks. The more motion she wants, the more design and explaining it takes.

Brand rules

• Logo used exactly as supplied, no redrawing or recolouring
• Hi-res transparent logo and alternate versions for non-green backgrounds
• Fixed 7-colour palette (neon green, magenta, bubblegum pink, aqua, butter yellow, black, white)
• Contrast checks, especially neon on pastel
• Custom fonts (original files and web-use licences needed)
• Body font options are Apple’s SF and SF Mono, which need checking for web use

Accessibility and usability (design side)

• Readable body text and easy-to-use forms and menu
• Alt text suggestions for images
• Clear heading structure, page title, meta description and share preview image text

Handoff to the developer

• Editable design file
• Exported assets
• Font and licence notes
• Responsive layouts
• Short guide for updating the monthly sale info

What would you quote for the design side of all this? A rough range for the base design, the custom art and the motion/3D design would help a lot.

Thanks in advance, really appreciate any advice.

Hey everyone,

If you run a boutique agency or do client services, you already know the worst part of sales: you have a great discovery call, the client is excited, and then you spend your Sunday evening or Monday morning manually piecing together a custom scope, pricing breakdown, and contract in Docs.

By the time it finally hits their inbox, the momentum from the call has cooled off.

I wanted to eliminate that bottleneck entirely, so I built a lightweight automated workflow using Gemini. It takes raw call notes or transcript highlights and outputs a fully structured, ready-to-sign custom proposal and e-sign link in under 30 seconds.

What I'm doing right now:

I'm putting together 3 detailed portfolio case studies around this exact workflow.

Because of that, I want to set this up completely free for 3 active agency owners or freelancers. No sales pitch or hidden upsell—I just want real-world feedback and a short review if it actually saves you time.

Who this is a fit for:

You run a web design, branding, or digital agency (1–10 people).

You actively take client discovery calls every week.

You currently waste time writing custom proposals from scratch.

If you want in on one of the 3 spots, drop a comment below or shoot me a quick DM with what your agency does, and I'll hook you up!

What sites do you take inspiration from when starting a new project? Especially motion-side, but also in general?

I'm a website creator looking to collaborate with someone who enjoys the client-acquisition side of freelancing from india.

I build premium-looking, cinematic, and interactive websites for businesses, and I also offer SEO to help improve their online presence.

I'm looking for someone who can identify businesses that could benefit from better websites or SEO, reach out to them professionally, and help bring projects in.

I'll handle the technical work and project delivery, while you focus on finding potential clients and starting conversations.

For projects we work on together, the proposed profit split is 50/50.

No coding skills are required. If you're reliable, proactive, and interested in working together, send me a DM!

Hey everyone!

I’m a motion designer currently job hunting, and I’d love some honest feedback on my portfolio website from a web design perspective:

https://www.brankovlahov.com/

I built it with Wix, aiming to keep it simple and let the work speak for itself. I’m curious whether it feels professional and makes it easy for potential employers or clients to find and watch my work.

I’d especially appreciate your thoughts on the layout, typography, colors, navigation, and personal branding/logo. Does the homepage give a clear first impression? Is anything distracting, confusing, or missing? Feedback on the mobile experience would be helpful too.

Feel free to be brutally honest—I’m here to improve. 😄 Thanks!

**Designer with 5 years in B2B SaaS doing free work to build my portfolio**

Most of my work so far has been for one company, which makes job hunting harder than it should be.

So I'm offering free design help to get more variety in my portfolio.

The only ask: I need to be able to show the work in my portfolio. If that's a problem, this probably isn't the right fit.

What I can do:
•Websites and landing pages
•Product design
•Brand design and design systems
•Email design
•Motion graphics and video editing
•Marketing collateral, social posts, banners

I also know front-end development, so I can help build what I design if that’s needed as well.

If you've got a project that needs a designer, DM me and I'll send over my portfolio.

I’m sorry if this breaks the subreddits rules.

Guys dropped my portfolio show some creativity in notes section it's all open.

I built a full-stack website for my institute, Swami Vivekanand Institute of Technology in Balaghat.

I started by putting my ideas into Google Flow to generate the hero section, and then moved to Google Stitch to design the rest of the UI before building it out. It’s a full-stack site with a backend login system, and I'm currently adding a feature where students can log in and download notes for all their subjects.

I originally asked for ₹20k–₹25k, but since Balaghat is a Tier-3 city, they didn't have that kind of budget—so they are paying me ₹10,000 for it. Do you guys think this deal is worth it?

It’s not completely published yet, but I hosted a preview on Netlify to show them the progress. Check it out at the link below and let me know how you'd rate it! 👇

Hey everyone, I'm Joe. I manage a client's website on retainer and wanted to hear how other freelancers and small agencies handle change requests after launch

If you're maintaining a few client sites, especially 5 or more, how does it usually work for you?

Do clients send requests through email, WhatsApp or some feedback tool? How much back and forth do you need before you know what they actually want changed?

Also how do you keep track of requests and decide what's included in the retainer vs something you should charge extra for?

If you're using Markup.io, BugHerd, Pastel, Atarim or anything similar, I'd like to hear your experience

- what are you using and what do you like about it?

- any issues with pricing, limits, bugs or getting clients to actually use it?

- anything annoying enough that you've thought about switching?

- if you've tried switching, what did you move to or what stopped you?

- what would another service need to do better for you to move?

If email and your current setup works fine, would like to hear that too

Just being upfront, I'm exploring a small product around this and planning to test with my own retainer client first. Nothing to sell or sign up for here, trying to understand if this is a problem worth solving for other people

I'm also hoping to talk with a few freelancers or agency owners for about 15 mins. If you're open to that let me know in the comments and I'll ask before sending a message

Thanks

Joe

Check it out! Made this to bring some creativity to B2B marketing. Let me know your thoughts!

I keep seeing people criticize websites for looking “AI-generated”. But here’s my question: Isn’t functionality more important than how a website was built?
Would you rather have a fully functional AI-built website or a custom-built website that looks great but barely works?
At the end of the day, shouldn’t the user experience matter more than the tools used to build it?
