Hello reddit, I'm glad be in the presence of such experienced watchers and I would appreciate your dearest advice relating to my recent 65th birthday gift.

To kick things off, I recently went to Pattaya to explore the local nightlife and stumbled across what I believed to be a good deal. This Rolex was only 500 USD, which I, obviously, thought was a smokin' deal. I purchased said watch right on the spot. This was an unusual splurge for me (get it), even though I was on vacation, and this was my big retirement gift. However my friend at home recently told me he's never seen a rolex that looks anything like this, and that I most definitely got scammed.

I would consider myself a skilled pawn star (like the show), so I feel that it is unlikely for me to duped so simply.

Just bought a Seiko 62MAS reissue because apparently paying a premium to cosplay as a Japanese diver from 1965 is my idea of financial responsibility.

Spent an embarrassing amount of money on a watch whose entire selling point is that it looks like something Seiko made 60 years ago.

“Historical significance.” “Faithful reinterpretation.” “The original 62MAS laid the foundation for Japanese dive watches.”

Holy fuck, listen to me. I’m literally reciting Seiko’s marketing department just to cope with buyer’s remorse.

It’s not vintage. It’s not luxury. It’s a modern Seiko pretending to be an old Seiko, purchased by an idiot pretending to be a watch collector.

And the worst part? I genuinely hate the fucking thing after I bought this shit.

Should’ve bought an extra strap for my PAM, but apparently I needed 200 meters of water resistance to wash my hands at pub’s bathroom.

I have no knowledge on watches and apologize if there are any rules for this subreddit against posts like these. I didn’t see any, so I thought I’d give it a shot.

I found this watch with a bunch of my parents old stuff in my closet. The front reads “Seiko, Quarzarama,” and the back reads “Base Metal Case, Dustproof, Stainless Steel Back.” I can’t find a serial number anywhere on it. Does anyone know if this is worth anything significant? Thanks for the help.

I said imagine buying the watch again. he said okay but would it hurt resale value. had to explain that a backwards chronograph isn't a factory variant collectors hunt for. he seemed skeptical. mentioned something about left-hand crowns being hot now. I didn't have the energy to connect those dots for him. left the watch for a routine service instead

Even funnier considering 120k feet is about 36 kilometers, which is only about a third of the altitude that is generally understood as being the "start" of space. The watches themselves look kinda neat but if you're gonna market yourself to space nerds you should try to get basic facts about space right...

So I recently purchased an Alpenist and found out about Seiko mods.
Obviously upgrading to a Grand Seiko would be the dream but I think I found a much more elegant diy approach.
We all know that GS lives off their dials.
So I was wondering if I zaratsu polish my dick hard enough and cum on my Alpenist could I recreate the texture of a Snowflake?
Does anybody have experience with that?
I think I might be on to something here…
