I slipped on a spill i did not notice. Thankfully I did not hit the ground but my right leg slipped from under me & twisted in an awkward position, my knee took the damage. I felt instead pain on my kneecap
I made the injury report. After it was done I was asked if I was leaving early, I said no so I was sent back to my department to keep working. For a whole week my knee pain was getting worst. Just about everyday I complained about my pain to my TLs. Exactly a week after i slipped, I asked my TL what the process was to be seen by a doctor. I was sent to see my coach. I was asked why I didnt go earlier & I was honest, I wasn't offered or told my options to be treated & I was also expecting the pain to subside with time. Right then & there is was sent to the immediate care.
Long story short, sprain of the right knee of an unspecified ligament. Will need further appointments to see how severe or minor the injury. Doctor put me on strict work limitations. He noted that I return to work the following day. That same day I was seen at the immediate care, i returned to work to give my paperwork. I was expecting to go home & rest as the doctor suggested but i was told I had to finish the remainder of my shift, which was like 4 hours, despite the doctors notes specifying I not to return to work until the next day. Against the doctors recommendations, I was told to finish my shift. Given I was put on light duties but I was still made to close that night!! this is an ongoing process & unsure what to do. I feel like my coach isn't happy with me for doing the report
