Question Why do you walk?
Why do you go for walks for the sake of walking only? What are the benefits you find?

I didn't quite hit 10k steps, but 3 very long days of work still allowed me some walking time. Walking outdoors helped with the stress as well 😅

As the title states. Looking for a good pair of shoes that lets me get in some miles before they start to hurt my feet. I have plantar fasciitis and was told the flux footwear brand was the best. I’ve tried them all New Balance, Nike, Brooks, On’s, etc, but I recently bought the flux footwear adapt trainers and 3 months in my feet are hurting. I understand we’re only supposed to wear our shoes so many miles and I’m at 2+ miles a day, but at the price of a good shoe ($100-180) I’ll wear them until the last minute. Anyone absolutely love what they have that seems to last the distance?

While walking, how do you stay focused instead of looking at your watch? I’m a beginner walker and I feel so out of place while walking because I’ve never had to lose weight before and this will be my main way.
(Motivationally speaking)

Hey, I’m new on this Reddit but I have been looking through the post and it’s inspiring that people are walking!
This is my first post asking for tips on how to build and maintain the consistency, as of now I have been walking 10 000 per day. I feel hyped up and my reason to do it is to improve my health and loose weight (combined with a calorie deficit) but what do you guys usually do to keep up with the consistency?

Been looking for ice cleats for the winter to buy for my shoes but they have an unusual tread pattern with large ridges. Would ice cleats still work ok on these?

Today is day 10 of me caring about walking. I don’t think I’ve ever exercised for 10 days straight. It’s been so good for my mood!
I hope I keep it up, and I’m eager to stop being so sore every morning from walking haha.

walking is very important part of my day and when I don't walk I feel mesirible but recently i feel like since I started this habit, my appetite for eating has increased significantly.. and I really don't like this effect.. it's really discouraging for me.
