I keep staring games then getting bored almost immediately. Wait is that a sign i have depression?

Shortened attention span and fatigue from the daily requirements of life. Normal

You just gotta find the ones that hit. For me that's Nintendo games lately. Big RPG slogs use to be my favorite but don't cut it anymore. Though Galactic Racer is freaking awesome and grabbing my attention.

I know it's control resonant, if only I could afford it right now!

I got the same... I do not believe it's depression, for me it just feels like a waste of time unless the game is really extraordinary

I have game pass and sometimes I just stare into the void of content and just say "no, not today."

Reddit likes to think if you don’t immediately love something you are burned out or are depressed. Could be, but it’s more likely that you just aren’t trying a game you like and/or aren’t in the mood at the moment.

Same way you might not enjoy a movie or might not be in the mood to read a book.

This 100 percent

I've seen posts like I tried exp 33 and it didn't land they try telling him he's depressed and it's like no he just wasn't in the mood for turn based combat

Its a sign you want more than sitting in front of a computer or screen all the time. Go get outside of your comfort zone and do other things.

The same with movies. I haven’t seen one in years.

Tbh that has always been a case go me, only 1 game of maybe 30 would hit different. But yeah that requires time, patience and also analysis of what might've changed in your preferences. Maybe these days you like the games you'd never think you like.

Take a break from gaming for a couple months. When you come back it’ll hit.

I mean I guess I just think they're like me trying to get by. I'll be honest I don't really know how to answer that.

it could also simply be you are bored of the games you are playing

try going retro it helped me find my love of gaming again when I grew tired of modern stuff
