Got bitten by a dog in Central Park

On Monday, October 12, I was walking with my two children near a children’s playground around 76th Street and Fifth Avenue when I was bitten by a large Newfoundland being walked by Canine Cardio.

The dog walker appeared unable to properly control the dog and was walking him around children riding scooters and bicycles. After the incident, the walker was rude and simply walked away.

I went to the emergency department and was prescribed antibiotics.

I contacted the company to obtain the dog owner’s information and verify the dog’s rabies vaccination. However, I was only provided with a certificate that contains no identifiable information — no owner’s name, dog’s name, or other details linking it to the dog involved.
I’m very concerned that the dog’s owner may not even have been properly notified of the incident.

Please be aware, stay safe, and think carefully before entrusting your pets to a company that handles a serious incident this way.

86th St. AMC renovation?

Are they renovating the theater? When I walked by yesterday, it looked like workers were disposing old seats.

Slugs in my apartment pls help

Hey everyone, so about a month ago I found a slug in my apartment on a box of cereal. I searched on Reddit and a lot of people said it was likely coming from outside and a one off so I just tried to forget about it. Well today I found three more. I am actually going to throw up it’s so gross. I found one in my sink and two in the same cabinet where the prior box of cereal was in before. I am on the first floor so I know there just tends to be a bit more bugs and such but I have noticed at times a bit of a mildew type smell specifically by where the kitchen sink is. I was told the pipes were redone right before I moved in a few months ago so thinking maybe they didn’t close up the holes or cabinets properly after they did work. My super said he’s coming to “spray” but I think that’s is totally useless as this is clearly not the issue. Any one have experience with this? Suggestions on how to prevent slugs? I will be making my super deal with this issue more aggressively but never had something like this ever.

Birthday dinner rec!

Hi all! Ik this question gets asked a lot but my birthday is coming up and I am looking for a cozy wine night with 10 of my girlfriends. My dad recently passed and I really don’t have the brain power to think of anything but just know I want to be close to home with yummy food and wine!

I did cafe buon gusto last year so that is the only place I will skip the suggestion. But budgets are pretty flexible and open to all cuisine - tyia!

First Halloween

• Upvotes

It’s our first Halloween in the UES with a baby and I was wondering what to expect. I know it may be a little different this year since it’s a Saturday but are families out all day with their kids in costume? Does it start at a certain time? Is there a specific area to go to?
