Hello, pre-pa student here. I was wondering if combining these 2 classes is a bad idea or not. I am a senior so I am a bit limited on when i can take these, so having them in the same semester is what im thinking but i am feeling like its probably not a great idea.

Here is what i have in mind

Physiol 201
Biology 305
CLCIV 217 (1 credit minicourse)
Biology 230 (fills major req)

If not Bio 305, I wouldnt know what to take, since this puts me at 12 credits. I could take psych 250 as another pa prerequisite but i have not completed the enforced intro psych prerequisite for that class 😵‍💫😵‍💫.

Hello everyone, I'm currently a freshman taking Math 215. I just got 58.5 on the midterm (with a median score of 60 and the mean was 57.78), and currently have an 80.34% average for the class and I have a 84% for homework and 100% for the webworks. I am not completely sure on how the curve works for the class and am also worried that I might not be able to increase my grade average by much with midterm 2 and the Final Exam (If I get an 90% on midterm 2 my average will raise to 85) and I'm wondering what my final grades gonna be like and if there's going to be much of a curve based on the history of the class.

Can I major in BCN and minor in bio? It's not listed in the exclusions section so I assume so, but have never heard of anyone do this combo.
(I am a BHS major (premed) that wants to minor in psych or neuro as that is what interests me, but they are not offered, which is why I'm thinking of changing to BCN M+ bio m)

I was admitted to UofM but never attended. I still have access to Maize Tix through my @umich.edu email, and I also have a student account with Michigan Athletics.

I'm wondering how the app access works in this situation. Do they verify your student status or check your MCard (I don't have one) when you enter games, or is having a valid ticket enough?

Has anyone had experience with this, especially for Michigan football or basketball games? I'd appreciate any clarification.

I’m an aerospace eng freshman (already off to a bad start, I know) but I am trying to secure an internship this year so I can graduate a year early. for context, by the end of my first semester here I’ll have 59 credits so there’s no point in dragging out my degree for a fourth year. however, I feel like I’ll miss out on opportunities solely because I’ve been here for less time than traditional upperclassmen. I also don’t want to graduate with less experience than others in my graduating class since I’ll be at a disadvantage in the already brutal job market. how do I go about finding internships and convincing employers not to throw out my resume like that one fanum meme? if you have any specific contacts, resources, or employers/professors I can reach out to I‘ll make sure any missiles I manufacture for lockheed don’t target you xoxo

Extra notes: I’m most interested in propulsion research and rocketry but beggars can’t be choosers so anything aero adjacent works. I don’t have a gpa to give employers (bc freshie!) but I expect mostly As and B+s. also went to a stem magnet high school on the engineering track and did some general engineering projects as well as performing decently well in stem clubs.

I’m looking at my possible schedule for next semester…and it looks absolutely terrifying.

Somewhere not that expensive please?! I just want them shaped so I can do some up keep on them.

I'm a freshman and plan on staying in Ann Arbor during the summer since I don't really have anywhere else to go. But was wondering if I could get some advice on the different opportunities to stay in Ann Arbor? I'm interested in doing some things sublet, summer class, travel abroad, research..etc...but a bit overwhelmed with all the options and whether they are realistic or not. Last weekend I was forced to get ambulanced by the cops to the ER for alcohol intox because i was stumbling. I do NOT want to tell my parents because i will get disowned. what should i do. dont lecture me because TRUST ME ive already learned my lesson. i dont have student health insurance but i am considering purchasing it if you think it could cover this even after it occurred. i do not have my parents insurance on my health file and am honestly planning on paying this self-pay. how much do you think this bill could come out to if i call up the hospitals billing department and ask for a discount (or will they js laugh in my face). also in the hospital they did not give me any iv drips or testing i literally just slept there and left early in the morning.

once again i do not need a lecture i have 100% learned my lesson and am just looking for guidance

I'm a freshman looking to major in electrical engineering, and I was also considering doing a minor. I'm pretty interested in econ, polisci, and business, so I was looking to see if anyone had any experience doing a minor in any of these along with an engineering degree and how that went. I think I'm most interested in polisci (I have like zero experience with it though), but I'm pretty open to all 3.

I feel left out among other transfers as they come from big universties as well and I have yet to meet a fellow cc transfer

I was in state for uiuc but i chose umich cs. I kind of regret it consdiring the cost for me and horrible things I have heard about the eecs department here. If anyone want to share their expierence of what made them come to umich and if they regret it or not?

There’s a guy in one of my classes that I think is super cute but I don’t know how to approach him AT ALL. It’s a relatively small class and most of the course work is through small group projects but people tend to stick with the same group they had before so we’ve never interacted. I don’t think we’ve even made eye contact.

Genuinely how do I approach this situation. Should I try and sit next to him? Ask for a pencil even though none of our class work requires one? Compliment a jacket he wears? I don’t wanna be awkward but idk how not to be.

I’d honestly be fine not saying something but at the same time I think I might be mad at myself if I go the entire semester without talking to him at least once. HELP

Has anyone taken this class with Jay and remember how his exam was? He grades using gradecraft so I’m not necessarily overworried about it since there is so many other opportunities to get an A but would still like to do quite well on the midterm regardless.

I’m in chem 261 right now with prof zimmerman and im trying to study for my upcoming exam but I’m genuinely so confused on what to study. I feel confused on what to even study because the things talked about in lecture are more in depth than what I’ve been told is expected for the exam. I’ve asked my gsi and study group coordinator what to study but I keep getting different answers from each of them. Can anyone who took the exam from Zimmerman before, let me know what worked for you?

I'm currently taking STATS 250 and its going HORRIBLE and I dont even know if Im going to pass the class, I was behind on 2 lectures cause I had to work on other classes in september and when I caught up it was already the first exam which I botched so hard. I think I might fail but is it possible to retake STATS 250 in the winter or find an alternate class in Michigan or online courses? I dont have a car so I cant commute too far for in person alternatives. I also need to take this or an equivalent class cause its a requirement to stay in my major. I've tried out office hours and IDK it just doesn't help my pea brain understand a few concepts.

hi, im a freshman at michigan and taking psych 112. im in ross and was told to take easy electives to keep my GPA up bc ross classes can bring it down, so i took this psych class to be an easy A bc i saw the atlas grade distributions. but, i got an average of 5-5.5 on the past two quizzes and dont know what to do or how much this matters. on rate my professor i saw people saying they did poorly on the quizzes but he gives EC so you can still get an A. he hasnt even mentioned any EC yet and we're almost halfway through the semester soo if anyone has taken this class before please lmk what you think or share your experience
