I’m dropping this class because I’m so confusing, first exam score was so bad that I genially need a 90 in the second exam to pass this class. Anyone else find it difficult? Or any other classes y’all dropping?

This is so random but like the dining hall forks need to be sharper, I can’t pick up my food ðŸ˜

TL;DR: I got accepted as a vendor for the upcoming anime/K-pop con and have no idea how much sticker inventory to make. Would love some input from people planning to go!
I recently got accepted as a vendor for the anime/K-pop con on Wednesday, and I'm trying to figure out if I should make more stickers for it.
I sell Stray Kids stuff (stickers, keychains, mystery packs, etc) and currently have 8 different sticker designs for each member, with about 3–4 stickers per design. They're all Halloween/spooky themed right now since it's spooky season. Prices are $1.75–$2.25 depending on how many you get.
I've done stuff like cup sleeve events before, but I've never vended at a con like this, even a small one. I graduated from a college in Tennessee in 2021 and moved to Chicago in 2023, so I have absolutely no idea what to expect from the UIC crowd ðŸ˜
For people planning to go, would you actually be interested in buying Stray Kids stickers? Is 8 designs per member enough? Should I make more than 3 to 4 per design?
I know it's hard to predict what people will buy, but even a rough idea would help me avoid either running out immediately or going home with a million leftover stickers. The 3 events I've done in Chicago did not result in many sales, but the events outside of Chicago have done well, which is why I'm a bit conflicted on if I make more or if I just take my existing stock.

I’m currently planning to finish my remaining six credit hours in Summer 2027, but I was hoping to participate in the May 2027 College of Engineering commencement ceremony. Is there a way for summer graduates to request early participation, or would I have to wait until December?

The hand-off is too close. Too intimate. I look my fellow proletariat in the eye as I hand him a refuse-covered plate, and wordlessly ask, or perhaps command him to clean it for me. I am unwilling and unable to confront the fact that for every putrid scoop of disgusting pig slop I hungrily wharf down, that’s a plate that my underpaid overworked fellow American must now contemptuously wash in order to afford living in the red. Our eyes meet, our hands touch, and I am confronted with the fact that he should be handing me the plate, and I should be looking at him. There is not one good reason he stands on his end of the partition and I stand on mine, and not the other way around. Send the dishes overseas! Let the abjectly impoverished clean them for pennies on the dollar where I don’t have to see it, so that I can avoid the crushing burden of connection with the less fortunate. Give me a job behind a desk and at a computer where I type numbers of dishes sent and send emails about dishes cleaned and make ten times the overseas dishwasher’s annual wage in an afternoon. In the end I will always be a hypocrite because I will never stop eating at the dining hall, and I will never stop handing my dishes to the dishwasher. I will always look for the bin of dishes that hasn’t been emptied, so I can put one more plate on the stack, and avoid the gaze of the people forced to clean it.

Hello! I’m a Physician at an academic medical center in the Northeast and I’ll be at UIC medical center for work Monday-Wednesday next week. I’m also a gym rat, my airBNB doesn’t have any options, and there doesn’t seem to be any gyms with day passes in short walking distance. Any chance someone would be willing to sign me in as their guest to the SFC (I can’t purchase a guest pass myself)? Happy to pay the fee of course. Would need to be either around 6:30/7am or 5pm.

Genuine question, i didn’t do to well on my midterms and unfortunately im on academic notice . I was wondering if it’s still possible to pass with a C. I have a very high D to be fair. I believe it’s possible but i was told that i should think about doing a term withdraw. Anyone have any guidance? i’d greatly appreciate it. )I’m a Mechanical engineering major entering my 3 year here) Edit: i’m taking ME 205 & Math 220 i’m think about dropping Math 218 since i cannot grasp the concepts .

Hey guys, I'm a freshman here at uic, and I was going to ask if anybody has experience transferring colleges and what it takes. I'm currently in the school of business here and was seriously considering transferring to the school of engineering. Registration is coming up next month, and I've been told I need a mandatory advising appointment. Would i still need to meet with my business school advisor to discuss this switch? Is it easy to make a transfer like this? Any requirements? Many thanks!

Hello, I am currently taking ECE 346 with Lucy Shi, and I did alright for the first midterm (75/100). This class is extremely difficult and was wondering what the curve is usually like for the exam. Also if anybody knew how to study for the second midterm

okay so i know that it's normally advised to do orgo lab and lecture separately. but i have hard classes my following years and it's to avoid stacking orgo on top of them. i've already planned to do 12 credit hours during this time, im not working, i wont be doing any extracurriculars, and my gen ed will be done online. is this a good idea or no.

Guys please. I lost my umbrella and I think I either left it in BSB 140 or the BSB gazebo connected to the market. It’s maroon and retractable and awesome and most importantly NOT MINE. So I would really appreciate it, if you found it please let me know. Be kind, it will always come back to you. Please. PLEASEEE.

Hey everyone! I'm a UIC student looking for a roommate to move in ASAP!
I'm currently in a 2-bedroom apartment in Chicago, and I'm looking for someone to take over my ex-girlfriend's side of the apartment. You'd have your own private bedroom and private bathroom, while we'd share the common areas.
The total rent is $1,750/month for the apartment, so we'd split rent and shared expenses. I'm hoping to find someone responsible, clean, and reliable with bills.
If you're a UIC student looking for housing or know someone who is, please DM me! I can share pictures, the exact location, utilities, and more details about the apartment privately.
Looking to get this figured out ASAP. Thanks!
