Fears of shortages may also cause panic buying or opportunistic stockpiling, which could also drive artificial shortages at fuel stations.

Do you perhaps work for a fuel supplier? Well explain why huge private fuel companies are sitting with massive amounts of diesel . Albeit these companies also mainly supply to commercial farms and mines etc. actually they are pretty open about having so much supply. Also the politicking you speak of is politicking . If the DA cares so much they would try secure commercial diesel for businesses. I don’t know maybe to keep the economy running 🤷🏼 but hey you can always ask them

I’m not sure who you are talking too but over 6 bigger and smaller fuel suppliers have quite a lot of diesel left and I mean a lot. There isn’t a fear of shortages it’s price gauging/ manipulation. There is fuel you are just paying an exuberant amount for it and the oil price has been dropping.

Agreed . Totally illegal and the state released a statement yesterday saying fuel suppliers should not be hoarding fuel because there is no shortage currently. I hope something changes.

Is Cape Town going to the dogs?
Download the buzzer app , in my experience it works well . Private security arrives pretty quickly . You can also report issues like this on it. Sorry for your experience

Join a group class , if you like gym or do a sport , running clubs are good and padel . But if you like art or something cultural or arty , there are classes or weekly activities , just google them around where you live. You will meet like -mined people . PTA people are super friendly , so I’m sure you will meet plenty of peeps ! All the best :)
