People all over the internet have noticed a difference, even I noticed a direct decrease and in awful interactions online.

Russian bot farms and their impacts are well-documented. They can operate from different places in the world, so of course nobody thinks a few data centers being destroyed in Russia would impede all bot activity. But it would be silly to think it didn't impact it at all, especially with everything we know about how Russia aggressively pushes online disinformation campaigns.

Oh weird, I'm seeing lots of news stories and officials from various countries say otherwise, but that's just from preliminary research (which I'm sure we'll see more data coming out in the following days and weeks).

I agree with you...somewhat. The mindset 'everyone who does this is a bot!' does downplay the actual people who talk like this and believe this stuff, which we shouldn't do. But research shows bot traffic now outnumbers humans, and bot farms are sooooo prevalent. I think it's something we gotta keep in mind because groups are essentially trying to pit against each other and influence our elections and politics for their own benefit.

(and yes I know it wasn't technically a Russian bot farm that got hit, but 'Yandex data centre that apparently provided services for bots' didn't fit in the comic)

Except I've had my account banned on reddit for quoting the Young Republicans leaked chat while linking the news story, and gotten an admin warning for referencing something Charlie Kirk himself said to point out he was, indeed, a racist.

It makes my blood boil. I would get booted off this site if I said what I actually think of that vile human.
