Due to the multitude of individual rant threads popping up the last week or 2. Here is a megathread for the rants, to keep it all consolidated. Comment, upvote, downvote, whatever you want to do.
Just remember, be polite to each other.

my Spotify Daylist playlist is so repetitive, every song I see in there after it resets, I have heard before, I am an all rounder I listen to every genre of music but I listen to hip-hop most of the time and I am tired of listening to the same songs on that playlist.

Hello !
So I've very recently gotten this problem where when I get an ad, the song that is supposed to play after the ad is like ig "secretly" playing alongside the ad instead
And then after the ad, like half of my song has already passed bcuz it was silently playing simultaneously with the ad ???
Does anyone know why ? Is this just a user error glitch ? Help please

I need a rundown on how removing playlist access works. I have a playlist that another user has saved, I shared through text message with a direct link. I want to remove their access to the playlist (remove their save) so they can’t see my playlist anymore. But I also want to be able to grant access again if I want to in the future. I don’t want to block them on Spotify. If I make the list private, will they still be able to see the playlist, especially with a direct link?
I have a playlist of theirs that I have saved, is there any way to temporarily remove my save off their playlist and temporarily remove it from my library? But restore it again if I so choose?
I just don’t want to do anything permanent like fully deleting right now, or even blocking, I just need to not see their playlist in my library and remove their save off mine for a while.

Its been 3 months since they announced the user notes feature. Where are they?? When will they roll out to everyone?

Anybody else's song radio option gone? Very confused. Did it get replaced by the song DNA/change song speed feature? If so, that's really disappointing and annoying.

Whenever I close and open the app music can start anywhere from a few seconds up to 20 seconds already in the song. I've tried cleaning cache but it's still doing this. Is this a known issues and is there any fix?
r/truespotify • u/acceb1312 • 2h ago
Isn't that a huge number ? It isn't showing me any of my downloads either
And ive tried to clear the cache but it wont.
My phone was full but I freed up some space.
What will deleting the app and the redownloading it do ?
Ive got a samsungs22

My Spotify now does this every now and then, and even when I close my session and clean cache, I can't play the songs

It has been WEEKS since multiple glitches have popped up within the Spotify queue and they are still somehow unresolved. This is an absolute joke.
1. Can't multi-select songs and add to the queue on Desktop. If I try to CTRL + Click all of the songs I want to queue up, whenever I finally right click and "Add to queue" it only adds the song I right clicked. I've been adding songs to my queue this way during work for YEARS with no problem until a month or two ago. It is infuriating to now have to go one by one and right click every single song I want to add. This is basic shit.
2. Same queue pops up multiple times. If I shuffle my Liked Songs at 2pm while I am working and listen to that queue until 5pm. And then leave my apartment later at 7pm and put my Liked Songs on again in my car it will start from the beginning of the same queue that played during work at 2pm. Song for song repeat. I DON'T WANT TO LISTEN TO THOSE SONGS AGAIN. I ALREADY LISTENED TO THEM 5 HOURS AGO. Once again. Basic shit. How are songs that have already been played being re-queued in the same order? It's an obvious bug.
It blows my mind that while Spotify continually raises their monthly subscription prices they can't seem to find the time to fix even the most basic functionality within their app. It is a complete and utter disgrace.
If I didn't have over 7.8k songs and tons of playlists already sunk into this service I would have found something better a long time ago.
Posting on their community forums does nothing. Posting on here does nothing. They are useless.

I don't know this has been discussed here before.
But the amount of times I've made a playlist with the intention of sharing it and feel like something's missing because I can't explain the song choice is ridiculous.
It'd be so fun if we could make small comments or attach notes to a specific song in that playlist that people can see if we wish to or whatever.
I loooove making playlists for people or dedicated to a specific topic and part of the joy of it is relating it to the theme and I just really wish this was possible
Thoughts?

Has anyone else been experiencing crackling or popping audio when listening to music through the Spotify desktop app on Windows 11?
It only seems to happen with Spotify. Audio from other apps works completely fine.
Is anyone else having this issue, or does anyone know how to fix it?

Today I tried to log into my Spotify account on my PC, when I got a message saying that "there is no email linked to the account," even though I have the account on my cell phone as if nothing had happened, and when I try to create a new account with that same email it says that there is already an account linked, I tried to talk through the support chat to get assistance, but when I finally managed to talk to a real person, he simply closed it immediately and didn't even try to help.
Below is proof that "Henrique A" closed the chat, because I am very angry with him for simply not helping me.

Whenever I get concert suggestions in my area, I'm always surprised that I can't indicate that I am going. I feel like this would provide valuable information to learn whether the concert suggestion was actually useful and could then contribute to meaningful recommendations; attending a show by the artist should be one of the strongest signals of what music I actually care about.
Adding a "going" or "got my tickets" option, or even a link with AXS/Ticketmaster for this to happen automatically, could drastically improve concert suggestions and further tailor music recommendations. There could even be a post-show prompt, like a setlist playlist or recommendations for similar artists, openers, and future similar events. It could even add a cool "Artists you saw live this year" recap in Spotify Wrapped. What do people think?

Ok to keep it as simple as possible, there is a book called The Omnivore’s Dilemma and there is 2 different files of it on Spotify.
I read it years ago, loved it, and decided to see if it was available on Spotify, which it was included on premium.
So I add it to a playlist and decide to listen to it later.
Well later comes, and it's not on my playlist anymore. So I search again, and the cover is different (whatever) and it's a $25 charge (also whatever)... I just figure now it's for sale and no longer included in premium for free. That does happen.
But then, today I notice that if I search the title again, there are 2 options, one is the new cover for sale for $25, and the 2nd option is the old cover, with a 4 day countdown for a "release date" on Oct 20.... Which I suspect is going to be included for free on premium.
Why?
Again, this isn't a big deal, I'm just curious if anyone knows…
