Do I need to watch Agatha to understand this?

This series is very lore ‘trilogy’, they make references to a lot previous MCU storylines. I would have to google what they were referencing a lot when I watched WandaVision & Agatha

Half the nods to previous stuff in wandavision turned out to be irrelevant. Yes, the asian cop and the nerdy girl showed up in some other movie before. That's it.

Like the people who told me I needed to see WandaVision before Multiverse of Madness. I didn't and it was fine.

They weren't all the important to the plot though and most of the time it was just fan service at best.

Marvels mcu whole thing is you don't really need to watch anything in order. Sure there are set ups and stuff but it's all so minor and they typically explain it again anyways.

1) This show isn't out yet, so who the fuck knows.

2) By what we can see in the trailer, I will say 85% no, with a decent chance part of it gets very significant at the end.

I watched a couple episodes of Agatha but then stopped because it was fairly bad.

Nothing about the MCU requires more than a bit of time on Wikipedia to catch up.

I just watched Margin Call and am ready for more Paul Bettany in my life.

James Spader doing a low-key Alan Shore tribute always welcome too, of course.

Is this a remake of that high school wrestling movie from the 80’s?

Don't knock Matthew Modine man, he got a teenage Linda Fiorentino in that movie!

A spiritual remake of the Fast & The Furious.

Only the young can play.

I mean, the other two shows are good, I'm looking forward to this, but calling your own thing groundbreaking is bothering me 😆

Doesn't make it better. Other people giving you complements vs you labelling yourself with them 😬

Usually this is avoided by just citing critics, you get frames in the trailer that are just quotes, "Absolutely Amazing - New York Times" or whatever is pretty standard.

“What was that rent free in your head shit”

“It’s dumb people saying something meaningless because they learned a new phrase “

AAA had its moments. But WV was really fun.

Thanks for letting us know.

The flagship series of Disney+? And yet somehow you're aware of this?

-1

u/Jeffuary 13d ago

I don’t have Disney. Not a big Disney guy.

u/yinsotheakuma 13d ago

Neither do I, but I lifted my head up and moved it slightly from side-to-side, you disingenuous prick.

You peeked out of mom’s basement? Did the sunlight burn?

I dropped off Marvel shows somewhere in the middle of the Daredevil spinoff with the deaf girl but this might get a maybe from me. I like the leads and the trailer is solid-ish.

This took what felt forever to get off the ground but this looks good!

this looks terrible - if it all takes place in his head and the one thing we do see is their kid.. thats how they'll shoe horn in the kid still existing somehow.

I guess I'm getting tired of Marvel or Disney this show and trailer doesn't interest me in the slightest - maybe because its been FIVE years since WandaVision

Looks awful.

I made it halfway and quit because nothing looked interesting or original. There is no amount of unreliable narrator "it's all in your head" that works for me.
