SUPPORT (ONGOING) Several of my IKEA Zigbee lights disappeared off my network?
... at least 3 of my bulbs (out of about 15) disappeared off my Dirigera hub sometime yesterday. They are still tracked in HA, but HA can't reach them because Dirigera doesn't think they exist at all anymore. Can I just .. reset them? I'm not even sure what to do exactly, because I've never had a Zigbee device fail, let alone several of them all at the same time, and with no obvious reason whatsoever. this is going to be kind of obnoxious because two of them are controlled by switches that also control bulbs that didn't disappear.. so those will end up getting reset as well if that's the process...

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Dirigera Apple HomeKit Bug?
Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Dirigera hub and the Homesmart app and I was wondering if any one else has had similar issues since IKEA support is useless lol.
To make a long story short, after buying a new Dirigera hub after having one for a year and half and it integrating seamlessly into my Apple Home (that has a HomePod mini and an Apple TV as hubs), I don’t see the option to integrate the hub into Apple Home. Like, it’s just completely blank, as well as integrating into a thread network.
Short of factory resetting it, where should I start to try to get it to work? Honestly, I’m ready to just nix all of it and switch to Philips atp… I’ve reboot my router, modem, unplugged the Apple TV and HomePod, set up the hub with it being the only thread router on the network. I just don’t know what to do anymore lol. Any help is super appreciated.

SUPPORT (ONGOING) Need help setting up devices. IKEA lights and buttons, HUE bridge pro, Samsung phone.
I've tried everything, and none of the devices or apps want to work together.
HUE doesn't see IKEA stuff.
SmartThings only sees HUE bridge, but can't access it.
I have no idea how to connect them. They all support Matter, which is why I bought it all. And because the IKEA DIRIGERA hub has been unavailable in my county for... well forever.
Please help, I'm so close to just binning the HUE and keep using the IKEA lights with the IKEA buttons, no hub or anything.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Ikea tradfri and other products keep disconnecting
Hi All,
I am wondering if other people have the same problems as I have.
I have bought a large number of tradfri lights, bilresa remotes and a dirigera hub, but I'm facing issues.
First issues: devices go offline and are not coming back online.
For example: I have connected the 3 lights in my home office, they are 1m away from the dirigera, also in the office.
For some time it just works. But then after some time (days, weeks) they just go offline in the app.
I tried turning them off and on, restarted the hub, but nothing happens.
The only option i have is actually resetting the lights, unscrewing them to lookup the matter codes, pairing 3 lights again, which is annoying because they go into pairing mode at the same time, and i get a notification in the app that it found a new device, and will need to guess which of the 3 codes it is....
But even then, after i paired them, they now are in the app as 3 new lights, i now have 6 lights in my app....
Which means re-creating all scenes, removing the old devices, reprogramming remotes etc.
And for the bilresa remotes the same thing happens. It seems that if i havent used them in some time, they are unable to come back online.
Only option is re-pairing them also, and then again doing the configuration.
Second issue.
The range sucks....
The dirigera is on the first floor, my kitchen is 1 floor down, the kitchen lights are maybe 6m away from the dirigera, separated by just 1 wall, but pairing the kitchen lights was almost impossible, it took multiple tries, got stuck 8 out of 10 tries on the step in which the app registers the device with the matter network.
And now ofcourse all the lights are already showing offline for weeks.... I just don't have the motivation to again spend an evening on resetting and re-pairing everything, knowing that in a month i will need to do it again.
What am i doing wrong? And why doesn't it remember the devices if i re-pair them, instead of creating them as a completely new device.?

SUPPORT (ONGOING) DIRIGERA Control Anywhere email verification failed — fixed with a local TCP relay on Home Assistant
I finally got Control Anywhere working after repeatedly getting the “couldn’t verify your email address / make sure you’re on the same Wi-Fi” error.
My phone and DIRIGERA were on the same subnet, and local device control worked. The error appeared before any verification email arrived.
Versions:
- DIRIGERA 2.975.3
- IKEA Home smart 1.72.0
Restarting the hub, refreshing permissions, using Wi-Fi only, disabling IPv6, enabling IPv6, moving the Ethernet connection, factory defaults and trying different internet connections didn’t help.
Captured traffic showed hub resolved ap-northeast-2.iot.homesmart.ikea.com, then connected to the AWS IoT endpoint on TCP/443. The server replied, but the hub immediately sent a reset instead of completing the handshake. No TLS handshake followed.
The hub’s local API also reported backendConnected: false, despite cloud onboarding being complete.
AI entered the scene and suggested a local TCP relay:
DIRIGERA → local relay → real IKEA cloud endpoint
The relay completes the TCP handshake with DIRIGERA immediately, then connects upstream and forwards the encrypted bytes unchanged. TLS remains between DIRIGERA and IKEA—there’s no certificate replacement or TLS decryption.
That allowed email verification to complete. However, it wasn’t a one-time setup fix: stopping the relay broke remote connectivity again.
I moved the relay to Home Assistant. To avoid maintaining changing AWS IP addresses:
- Firewall/router/modem redirects only the hub’s DNS requests to a small DNS service.
- That service returns the relay’s LAN IP for the specific IKEA IoT hostname.
- Other DNS queries are forwarded normally.
- The relay independently resolves and connects to the real IKEA endpoint.
Email verification and Control Anywhere now works over mobile data.
My suspicion is a connection timeout or cancellation bug in DIRIGERA, but ofcourse I can't prove the exact firmware cause. I sent an email to IKEA customer service but would appreciate it if anyone else have a better contact for smart home devices.
This is an experimental workaround for my observed failure, not a universal fix. Hopefully Ikea will provide a fix soon.

DISCUSSION Can iPhone 16 Act as a Thread Border Router for IKEA KAJPLATS in Apple Home?
Can I use IKEA KAJPLATS lights in Apple Home or the IKEA Home Smart app without a Thread border router? I am specifically asking about the Apple Home app. I noticed that devices after the iPhone 15 Pro have a Thread chip. Does this mean I can create a Thread mesh network for these devices at home without a Thread border router? I don't intend to control them remotely outside the home. If anyone has tried this approach, could you provide information about its limitations?

SUPPORT (RESOLVED) When I pair a Styrbar remote to a bulb, that bulb immediately goes offline in Google Home.
It's the weirdest thing. I had a Tradfri bulb and bought a Styrbar controller (e2002) the bulb was working with GH. Then I paired the remote and the bulb stopped working in GH. (The remotes controlled the light just fine). I re-paired the bulb with an older controller and the bulb came back on line.
I paired the remote with another bulb that has been working flawlessly for at least 8 years and, immediately upon pairing: offline in GH. I re-paired the bulb with it's original controller back online.
A very confusing and frustrating couple of hours trying to work this out last night.
What the heck is going on?
Solved.
I was pairing the remote directly to the bulb, but I should have been adding the remote to the app first.

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) Kajplats can't handle more than one command every 10 seconds, massively laggy
Using Home Assistant and Sonoff ZBDongle-E as OpenThread router
Whether controlling directly from HA or from a Bilresa remote, the Kajplats bulb is massively laggy. If you try and turn on and off more quickly than once every 10 seconds, it doesn't respond to later commands or carries some of them out 30-180 seconds later. If you try and change color it crashes and needs to be power cycled.
Multiple other devices (Timmerflote and Grillplats) on the same Thread network work instantly.
Obviously this makes it completely unuseable even as a simple bulb, let alone when using thje scroll wheel.
Have I got a dodgy bulb or are they just all like this?

NEW 2026 PRODUCTS New Matter devices can no longer be connected
Edit: So far, about 20 devices (Matter and Tradfri) are connected to the network, and everything has been working perfectly so far.
Here’s my setup: A network with a FritzBox, 1 switch, and 2 FritzRepeater access points connected via cable. The network uses Pihole as its DNS server. When I try to add new Matter devices, after following these steps, I get the following message during the connection process:
Connecting to device
Matter credentials are being generated
Checking connection to the Thread network
Connecting to Home Smart
I receive the vague error message “An error has occurred.” The devices are then not on the Thread network (I can’t see them in the IKEA app) and are no longer in pairing mode.
I’ve connected the Dirigera to the switch and directly to the router. The smartphone is, of course, on the same network. I can’t rule out Pihole as the cause.
It doesn’t matter whether I follow the prompt to add the new device when I receive it (freshly reset device—app launch) or whether I add the device manually in the app.
What I definitely don’t want to do: reset the hub. Then I’d have to reinstall all the devices (is that right?).
Does anyone else have this problem and maybe know a solution?

SUPPORT (2026 PRODUCTS) LILJEBAGGE: 3 of 10 show Er1 after exactly one week, anyone else?
I installed 10 LILJEBAGGE radiator thermostats at the same time. All calibrated fine and worked perfectly for about a week. Now 3 of them show Er1 and won't recalibrate.
Setup:
• Valves with M28x1.5 threads, adapter A with the shortest extension pin on all 10
• Paired over Matter to Google Home and Aqara Home
• Same batteries throughout
What I've tried:
• Removing and reinserting batteries, then recalibrating: Er1 again
• Removing and refitting thermostat and adapter: Er1 again
• On one radiator, a brand-new unused unit calibrated fine with the same batteries. Putting the original back gives Er1 again.
• On another radiator, four different units all fail with Er1
• On that valve, template A shows the valve pin tip right at the outer edge of zone 3. I tried a slightly shortened extension pin, no change.
What I suspect:
• The manual says the thermostat runs an anti-calcification cycle after 7 days of use, which matches the timing since all 10 were installed together
• Possibly a firmware update that landed during the week, but I can't confirm it
Questions:
1. Has anyone else had Er1 appear after roughly a week of normal operation?
2. Which firmware version are your units on, and is there a way to update it without a DIRIGERA hub?
Mines are on: Hardware Version “P2.3” & Software Version ”1.1.0”
3. Did a factory reset fix it for anyone?
4. Any tips for adapter A on M28x1.5 valves where the pin sits at the edge of the template range?

NEW 2026 PRODUCTS Any swedes have extra Liljebagge units?
Hi! I saw that a new thermostat (IKEA Liljebagge) has been launched in Sweden. It won't be available in Romania until after January, and I'd like to use it during the current winter season. Could anyone from sweden help me buy 3–4 units the next time they go to IKEA and ship them to me via Vinted or whichever method is easiest?
Thanks a lot!

OTHER IKEA Thread issues resolved with addition of OTBR
TLDR; adding a Sonoff MG24 OTBR completely fixed all IKEA thread reliability issues.
Up until recently, I had 16 IKEA Thread devices (TIMMERFLOTTE, MYGGBETT, MYGGSPRAY, GRILLPLATS, KAJPLATS, BILRESA) connected to Home Assistant via an Eero 6 & Eero 6+ thread network.
Devices would frequently become unavailable, and would usually require me to recomission them (not just pull the batteries) to get them working again. Home Assistant updates or power loss could result in large swathes of thread devies becoming unavailable.
KAJPLATS would only stay online for minutes to hours before dropping, so I had to give up on it. If GRILLPLATS went unavailable, they'd take lots of other devices down with them. TIMMERFLOTTE (representing half of my thread devices) was the worst offender; even devices very close to the Eeros would frequently become unavailable. The recent 1.2.2 firmware update did not improve their reliability.
I recently discovered that if devices were unavailable, restarting my Eeros would sometimes revive them, even if they'd been unavailable for hours. This suggested that maybe the Eeros were to blame rather than the IKEA devices.
So, I bought a Sonoff MG24 OTBR. At the time of setup, 4 thread devices were offline. Within seconds of completing setup of the MG24, those devices started to come back online, and I haven't had anything drop off the thread network since. I can now update Home Assistant, or turn off power, without fear that thread devices will drop.
Interestingly, the MG24 has typically had no more than one thread device connected directly to it. The other devices remain connected to Eeros or GRILLPLATS. So, it seems like the MG24 has improved reliability from a back seat rather than by providing a much stronger thread radio and taking over as the primary router for all my devices.

OTHER Tradfri gateway user looking to upgrade, but I‘m lost with what’s what and what’s compatible
I‘m still rocking my Tradfri gateway from around 2020. My current setup consists of a couple remote lightbulbs, sockets and LED strips, controlled mainly with Somrig shortcut buttons. The lightbulbs and sockets are a mix of old and new products, but everything is Ikea.
I see a lot of interesting newer products like temperature sensors, window sensors and new buttons. But I‘m really out of the loop with everything, so I have a few questions:
Am I right in assuming that all of the new stuff requires a Dirigera hub, and won’t work with my gateway?
Will my 6 year old lights and sockets still work with the Dirigera?
Can the Parasoll door sensors be used just to see the status of all doors and windows at a glance?
Does the Dirigera hub still need my phone to be connected to my home’s wifi, or does it also work if I‘m on 5G?
Are there any downsides to upgrading?
Is the Dirigera hub compatible with all the new stuff, or is there a different one I don’t know about?
Many thanks :)

DISCUSSION TIMMERFLOTTE Accuracy
I'd read that the TIMMERFLOTTE should be accurate to within 0.2°C.
I've just bought a bunch of them, put them together in one room a couple of cms apart, and they vary from 20.5 to 21.5°C.
Is this expected? Is the accuracy not ±0.2°C? Does this match what others see?
Edit: I'm asking about how accurate the sensors are, not how precise the readings are.

SUPPORT (ONGOING) DIRIGERA and Matter issues, out of ideas
I’m having a strange issue with IKEA Matter devices and DIRIGERA and I’m running out of things to test.
The basic problem: IKEA Home Smart finds the Matter device and starts commissioning it, but gets stuck around “Moving you back to IKEA Home Smart” and never actually adds the device to the app.
What makes this weird is that the Matter/Thread side appears to be working.
If I commission the same device through Home Assistant, it works normally. Home Assistant is using the DIRIGERA Thread network/border router, and the device is reachable and controllable. HA also shows “IKEA of Sweden” as one of the connected Matter fabrics, so DIRIGERA/IKEA has apparently been successfully added as a Matter controller as well.
Yet the device still never appears in IKEA Home Smart.
This happens with multiple IKEA Matter devices, so it doesn’t seem to be a faulty accessory.
Things I’ve already tried:
- Multiple different IKEA Matter devices
- iPhone and Android
- Factory resetting the Matter devices
- Removing old Matter entries from iOS
- Restarting phones
- Restarting DIRIGERA (including a multi-hour power off)
- Removing/reconnecting DIRIGERA in IKEA Home Smart
- Completely deleting/reinstalling IKEA Home Smart several times
- Latest IKEA Home Smart version
- Latest DIRIGERA firmware
- Resetting DIRIGERA’s Thread network
- Commissioning after the Thread reset
- Removing IKEA as a Matter fabric and adding it again
- Commissioning with Home Assistant Matter Server stopped
- Testing with other Thread border routers/controllers removed
- Putting phone and DIRIGERA directly on the same router/AP
- Update firmware on smart devices via HA
- Guest/IoT network disabled for testing
- Fast Roaming disabled
- Beamforming disabled
- IPv6 enabled
- IPv6 Prefix Delegation enabled
- No obvious VLAN/isolation issue
Existing non-Matter IKEA devices on DIRIGERA work normally.
Pretty much out of clues on what to do.

SUPPORT (ONGOING) IKEA Myggbett battery draining ~10%/day on one sensor, other one is fine. Known issue?
Hi,
I have two Myggbett door/window sensors, installed about 3 months ago (commissioned June 26). Both stayed at 100% battery the whole time. About a week ago, the one on my front door started dropping ~10% per day. The other one (patio door) is still at 100%.
Setup
- Matter over Thread, single Thread network, HomePod as border router
- Home Assistant (Docker on Ubuntu) with the OHF Matter Server
- Each Myggbett uses 1 AAA alkaline (Kirkland/Costco).
- The front-door one is HA only, not added to Apple Home.
- Firmware version: 1.1.4
What changed around the time it started
- Added an IKEA Grillplats plug (Thread router) in the bassement.
- Moved an Alpstuga from the basement to the 2nd floor
- Added 6 Klippbok sensors
What I checked
- Thread diagnostics on the sensor look healthy: 0 retries, 0 errors, 0 parent changes, all frames acked. - Parent is the Grillplats with a green (good) link in the mesh graph.
- Poll counts on the front-door sensor look similar to the patio one, so it doesn't seem to be talking more.
- The sensor is indoors against an exterior door. The door is cool but not freezing.
- BatVoltage read 1255 mV at 37%. It then went 37% → 29% overnight, and 24% after I pulled and reinserted the battery and tested the door.
Is abnormal battery drain on a single Myggbett a known issue (hardware batch or firmware)?

SUPPORT (ONGOING) Can I get my specific colour through a voice command?
This may be a bit niche but I have the new KAJPLATS white lights in our kitchen, and our preferred shade of white is only accessible by selecting it in the app (e.g. candlelight is too warm, the next up is too cool)
We have one of the old TRADFRI remotes, which remembers the temperature for the on / off switch, but as soon as you (or - more likely - our children) touch a side arrow, we're into the named settings and you can't cycle back to our preferred temp
My question is, is there a way of finding out the "name" of this setting - is there a quantifiable scale like there is with brightness - such that I can voice command it back again without using Home Smart?
