One of the biggest problems i have in toki pona is the lack of comparatives. I mean, you could argue that this can be done with 'la' eg: 'mi la sina suli.' While this sentence could mean 'in comparison to me, you are big', it could also mean, 'to me, you are big.'
Thats where 'pe' comes in.
'pe' is a preposition and basically means 'compared to'. here are some examples:
'soweli li wawa pe waso' - The land mammal is big, compared to the bird. (The land mammal is bigger than the bird.)
'tawa mi li pona pe ijo ali!' - My movement is good compared to everything! (My movement is the best!)
'pe luka la noka li ike' - Compared to hands, legs are bad. (Hands are better than legs)
It has no etymology btw, i just made it up.

Polytoria is a game a lot like Roblox, but you are allowed to talk without giving up your face. There is almost no toki pona community on it (barely has a community at all), and I want to change that. So far, only 2 other people have joined it.

ajamali is a Toki Pona word relating to mistakes and misunderstandings.
The word ajamali is derived from the Japanese word 誤り (ayamari), meaning mistake or misunderstanding. It was coined by me as of 2026.
Definitions of the word ajamali: erroneous, mistake, mistaken, misunderstanding
The sitelen pona glyph for ajamali is derived from the sitelen pona glyph for sama with a checkmark on the right-side of the top line, and a cross (similar to ala) on the right-side of the bottom line.

I know how that sounds, and I doubt it myself sometimes for reasons I will say, but hear me out. DON’T START USING THIS, PLEASE!
Please, keep using ona, but what do you think of this?

I just realized I‘ve never learned or seen any tokiponist do this, ever, in my Toki Pona journey.

These are my preverb proposals:
olin: love (doing something) e.g mi olin moku - I love eating
awen: still (doing something) e.g mi awen moku - I’m still eating
Feel free to criticise me

mi sitelen lili mute. mi su. mi pali e lipu pi pana sona. mi jo e sitelen pona ante. tenpo kama la mi pali e sitelen kule.
I was sketching my dictionary, a way to teach speaking, and some language ideas. Later, I'm thinking of making vector images and pamphlet things.

I heard that pu and ku became uncommon words so I made this.
I don’t really have anything to say

yk when people list their pronouns in different, they just put “ona” for their toki pona one? i find that quite annoying.
what i find even more annoying is people trying to circumvent that by saying “ona meli” or “ona mije”, like that is not how toki pona works
i think people should use their headnoun instead. it has the identity expression of genders but not based in gender.
idk what else to say
o pona o awen pona :)

I know about te and to, but how would I write things like commas, periods, and especially parentheses (since la looks like a closing parenthesis) in SP?

tenpo suli la en mi e toki ni li toki. mi li jo e kama sona ni. kipisi nimi wan la en mi li pana wawa tawa nimi. nimi pi li ala la en mi li sona ala. (wawa lon e sinpin nimi monsi la en nimi ni li ala ilo toki la en wawa ni li ala)
tenpo ni la, li wawa nimi ante tu. o li lukin monsi.
ive been speaking this tongue for a while now, and ive realized that
i always put stress at the the start of any word, and i cant really
think of one that doesnt do this. (other than particles, which are unstressed when following a stressed syllable.)
and now the question is isometric pentameter.
(ok so i googled it and ye its in sona pona. still think everyone just collectively landed on it.)

Any thoughts on nasin ni? And how would you translate it?
I used to translate It as “ijo” but I don’t like the vagueness.

Hi there, I live in Kazakhstan and speak Toki Pona. I'm just curious if I'm a one-of-a-kind in Kazakhstan or if there really are those kinds of people in Kazakhstan.
