Researching toilets for a new build. Gerber seems to be my best option for price & performance, based on the many reviews I'm reading here and on other sites. But I'm conflicted....
Standard height for Gerber models is 15 1/2", which seems very low for my aging-in-place plan, even with a grab bar planned for the toilet area. I know a lower seat is better for anatomical reasons, but I'm afraid my knees won't have the stamina for that height a few years down the road.
Ergo height for Gerber models is 17 1/8" high (higher than other brands' chair height) and the seat will add another inch. I'm 5'2". That height seems way too high for comfort & function.
Can anyone please add some insight or your experience with this issue for Gerber models?
