Tips for thrive???

I need some tips because my species always goes extinct or its population drops drastically. Can anyone help me?

What kind of species do you make? There could be a lot of things going on.

For example, larger species will drop in population because they take more energy per individual. That does not mean you are doing poorly.

Predators also have lower populations than the things they hunt, so if you're encountering that, it's nothing to be concerned about.

Are you primarily concerned with the population you see in the editor, or are you actually going extinct while playing?
