The festival has been held every year since 1976, two years after the Carnation Revolution ended nearly five decades of fascism. This edition brought together delegations from parties and organizations across the world, including Palestine, Iran, Cuba, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Cape Verde, Vietnam and China, and many more, under the motto "Solidarity and Peace! No to imperialism and war!" The three-day event closed on Sunday with a speech by the PCP's general secretary, Paulo Raimundo, and a message from Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel. Díaz-Canel used the message to restate solidarity among countries facing imperialist aggression, and denounced the decades-long US embargo on Cuba as a "silent genocide."

36 years later, France and their accomplices are praying for a similar fate. They can kill the man, but they can’t kill the spirit. It will live on forever.

I’m fighting to end the war on Black America. That means ending racist violence, police brutality, and mass incarceration, along with the economic violence of poverty, unemployment, and housing insecurity.

Meanwhile capitalism doesn't have an answer for anything! And certainly no answer for all the crises and problems (it created) that we urgently need solutions for. Hell, capitalism doesn't even PROPOSE any solutions to the crises, let alone provide in-depth detailed plans on how to fix them. And yet despite this massive and glowing contradiction, many people still back capitalism and declare it the 'best system.' And THAT is the power of propaganda. It can make even this glaring and obvious contradiction, seem logical… even as we stare directly into the abyss, of our future under capitalism.

I’m a socialist because I want good quality housing, healthcare, and education treated as basic human rights for all, not luxuries for the few. The people of the Bronx already know the solutions. Together, let’s build the power to make them happen.

:cn:
Nearly 800 million people lifted out of extreme poverty. Entire communities transformed through investments in housing, infrastructure, healthcare, and education.
China made poverty alleviation a national priority. Meanwhile, the U.S. continues to pour enormous resources into war while millions struggle to meet their basic needs.
What if we invested in people instead?
