Hello! Last year I started playing classic because hey, it's free, why not. I loved it so much I got into COTW a little while later, but classic definitely has something that COTW is missing. Classic feels fairly relaxing, more realistic (graphics be damned) and grounded, and any successful kill feels genuinely rewarding. COTW on the other hand feels much more arcade-ish, and less immersive to me.

I like both a lot, but with classic getting shut down soon, I'd like to find something similarly immersive! These two games are the only hunting games I've ever played, so I have no idea what's out there. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated <3

I am currently 490 kills into my fallow grind and I just got my first SUPER RARE and super troll within 20 kills of eachother which in WILD. I was starting to think my luck was down with the grind since I only got about 2 rares before these two and no great one yet.

I was rotating in one of my exterior zones when I saw this big boy chilling there. Super ecstatic to see him, got closer for a secure shot and bagged him 😁

I set up my g1 wolf grind and hmed by stacking diamonds. I managed my exteriors down to low weight lvl 5s and lower and 2-3 lvl 6 solo zones. I had a dime rate of 1 in 12 and spawned a g1 shortly after. Now i went back for a 2nd g1 and havent spawned a dime in 100 kills. Wtf happened

My first and second red deer diamonds after 6 years of playing this game. Both were at the same lake standing right next to each other. Trophy scores blew my mind

Happy for a new variant and being able to complete the multi-mount.

First ever super rare, got extremely lucky because I got this only six days after my first Great One fallow.

Here's the hunting stand where I'm getting attacked by Jaguars on pretty much a daily basis now. Another one today. This one got caught up on the stairs after I killed it. The stand is located just north of the East/Central river. I'm curious if this is happening to any of you other hunters out there. At first it freaked me out, but after 5-6 times now I'm used to it. I keep my Rhino 454 in hand when I'm in that stand.

After my first lvl 5 Feral Goat was a gold, I wanted a "real" 5 (diamond) because he was quite impressive. So when I saw a 5 today laying in the sun when I was walking around, I was hoping he was the real deal. And yes he was.

I posted 2 days ago about the Alexander bow trophy and during my first session after the help, I not only got the trophy (during my reload malfunction) because of the buffalo getting stuck, but they did so after I shot this albino beauty. Unbelievable luck! Could not be more pleased to end the night on such a high note. Thanks everyone :) happy hunting!

Finally found the time to build some dashboards and a harvest tracker that extracts all automatically by inputting a screenshot from the harvest screen.
What else could i be tracking?

This grind has been the hardest so far. I was 1100 kills in before I spawned a 5. The first two 5s both bottom of estimate trolls. Only rares a black gold and purple grey. It was really hard to stick with it when RNG just kept throwing the same 2s and 3s at me. I moved feeders around, left 1s and slogged through. Now 1300 kills in and I’m getting a diamond every 50 pigs or so. Still no rares or great one but I feel the herd is shifting. Going to stick this one out but it has been tough. It has now been over two months since we have had a hunting event to reward skins? Wtf is going on?

Yesterday I botched a L9 Ocelot I've been hunting for a month. So far today I've made up for it by getting my diamond Peccary and nice diamond grey Puma (my 11th diamond Puma on Peru, which is ridiculous). I'm down to just needing that dang Ocelot and I will have a diamond of every species on the Peru map. One more to go! 💪 Can't wait to get back to New England Mountains to see the fall colors and do some traditional deer and turkey hunting.

Why do all my DLCs disappear whenever I disconnect from the internet, and I have to be connected to the internet to use them. I also constantly have to return my weapons to their places in the radial menu and reload them with ammo, which is so annoying.

I’ve been playing for 8 hours now and only killed one animal. I am as quiet as possible but the animals still run away. This is effing dumb man, who sits here and plays this??? You have to give 10000 hours of your time to fake hunt. Garbage ass game.

I can’t explain to you just how fast I was trying to switch my zeroing, I needed a fresh pair after this, no doubt about that.
My cat thought a prehistoric dinosaur was coming at her through the screen and took me out along with the shelf behind me lol
