I’m planning a special anniversary dinner with my boyfriend and looking for recommendations for a good rooftop restaurant in Thane.
We’re looking for somewhere with a romantic ambience, beautiful night views, nice lighting, good food, and preferably a cozy, slightly private vibe. Somewhere that feels special for an anniversary rather than just a regular dinner outing.

Due to the arrival of these app based operators, a lot of autos have stopped plying on meter. Whenever you approach an auto waala he will look at the phone in front of him and say booking hai.

And this is majorly because they get more money via these apps compared to meters even with the hike in the meter price. The other day, I tried to book a bike/auto on rapido since couldn't find an auto normally due to the tembhi naka blockage and it was showing atleast 50 Rs more than the regular fare on the same route. The regular fare is 80 Rs

To top it off, when I tried to book a bike from near station, the fare was more than a rickshaw's and in that also a scooter's fare was more than bike. I fail to understand how this works.

Shouldn't the government step in and stop this surge pricing nonsense for these autos at least? A small difference of 5-10 Rs is fine as a convenience fee but charging nearly 50% more is outrageous.

Surge pricing for the regular ola uber based taxis is fine but for these normal autos and taxis, it should be immediately stopped. What do you think?

Guys I think we must start a clean up drive. The TMC folks are trying to do their bit, but they are heavily understaffed. The other day I saw some of them near the SGNP entrance, and spoke to them, the gist was that they do their bit, but because in general there's no civic sense, it gets dirty soon.
