Residual water sequestered in disposable plastic bottles

Has anyone done a study or give an estimate of the amount of water remaining in disposable plastic bottles that aren’t recycled but sent to a landfill. I always dispose my plastic bottles with the caps off. Of course I try to avoid buying them but sometimes you just do

I stopped running the dishwasher straight after dinner

I had solar panels, but I was usually out when they were producing the most. Then I'd get home, cook dinner and run the dishwasher just as the solar was dropping off. I bought a Jackery SolarVault 3 Pro to save some of that daytime power for later.

The battery covered some of the evening use, but I also started wondering why I always ran the dishwasher straight after dinner. It had a delay timer I'd barely used. I started loading it as usual and setting it to run around lunchtime the next day.

I realised I'd been pressing start most nights without really checking how full it was, too. I started waiting for a full load before setting the timer, so it ran less often. Some evenings all I did was put the plates in and close the door.

Bamboo vs tree paper products?

Are bamboo paper products (toilet paper, tissues, paper towels) actually a better, more sustainable and environmentally friendly choice than tree paper? Are there any cons?
