Obama, nor Biden, slept on immigration. Pretty sure crossings were down… but they convinced their base that less crossings meant we were doing less. It’s really quite absurd how dumb they are.
You're wrong. The Republicans have sold their voters that all immigrants are illegal unless they're white. Look at Trump's first term. Trump and his supporters claim he cut illegal immigration by 60%. That's a staggering number but if you look into it, he cut legal immigration by 60%. That's where the number comes from. This term, he's rinsing and repeating. Hunting illegal immigrants can be tough so the best way to do it is to remove legal statuses and deport them, making legal immigrants illegal. Everyone is celebrating the white immigrants from South America but despise them when they come from the middle east, Africa, or South America.
They bought into racism to sell the belief that every immigrant, legal or not, is an illegal immigrant based solely on skin color or religion.
