Let’s say that even GW was 100x better. Had competent people working in areas.

Trump takes unrefined gold ore, extracts the gold, paints the remnant yellow, labels it “100% pure,’ puts his brand on it, and sells it for a thousand times its actual value. He calls himself a genius, because he gets away with it, even though everyone knows what he’s doing. Most of us know that Trump is not very smart, but some people will buy hyper-inflated lead, just for the dubious cachet of owning anything with the Trump brand.

They're going to rewrite the Emporer's New Clothes after he's gone. 🤦

and he had a reverence for the office he held, and understanding of democracy and foreign relations, I’m just basic human decency. Some of the things he did still bother me at the end of the day he was presidential.

Real quick.

Circa 2003 into 2008, many times I actually told myself, “At least we’ll never see anything worse than this.”

The hard way, many lessons have been learned.

Um, no. Trump is horrible, but so was W. I get it, W was more traditional. But he got us into a war on a lie and 4,500 soldiers were killed, thousands more took their lives later, and several thousands more were injured. His policies led to the worst economic collapse since the Depression. His administration allowed torture, killed hundreds of thousands around the world, limited freedom of the press, villainized opposition as anti-American terrorist sympathizers, drastically expanded surveillance, and violated people’s4th, 5th, 7th Amendment rights on a massive and systemic scale.

Was W less caustic than Trump? Sure. That’s a pretty low bar. But overall, Trump’s worse than W, but not all that much worse.

You do realize he held himself accountable for each soldier. He wrote the letters and made the calls himself for each and every one of them. He turned his plane while in the air when Katrina happened to go see what he could do. The push to go to war was on bad information. The same information that Congress voted on and had access to. They agreed and voted to go to war. Can blame bush all you want but Congress completely agreed with the findings or decided to not do their job and look at it.
But to all those who call bush a horrible person he was the opposite if that.
Obama, Biden and yes Trump do not and did not care about the war fighters at all. Obama put many lives at risk. When special operations jumped into Libya to get an oil tanker back which was not flagged in the US and owned by Obama donors. That’s one of many. Biden and Afghanistan withdrawal. He had ample reason to walk away from the agreement yet chose to af the warning of every single military leader. This caused multiple deaths and he didn’t give a crap st all. Was too busy caring about other things. Trump is no different.

I’m not sure, but I doubt Bush called the families of every soldier who was killed, but I know for a fact he didn’t do anything for those who were injured.

Wanna bet. You may want to educate yourself. He’s actually done a ton for vets.

Yeah…… I’m sure he did for some. You know what he could have done, though? He could have not made veterans veterans of a war based on a lie that he knew was a lie. That would’ve been better.

Guess when Congress voted for it they should have also done their due diligence as well. Since you know they declare war on

Congress hasn’t passed a declaration of war since WWII.

And yet they funded it for decades. Last I checked who controlled the purse strings?

Who lied to them and told them Iraq had weapons of mass destruction with falsified documents and misleading information?
