F**k every single farmer!! They almost lost everything in Trumps first term because of his tariffs, until we bailed them out. So what do they do? They vote for him twice more!!! Now they are crying like babies!! Screw them!’ One bailout per lifetime!! And they would vote for him again in a heartbeat!!
I just said “ one bailout per lifetime” because they had already received the one. I think we should remove every subsidy that they enjoy. Stop making a business successful and profitable no matter what. They voted against welfare, so let’s give them exactly what they want!!
Yeah? They are clay people filled with bigotry and hatred. No quarter on anything!! Give them exactly what they voted for. And you keep in mind just how many people have been murdered because of their bigotry. Sons and daughters have lost fathers and mothers. Any level of consequences that farmers receive, they will still be better off than the lost family members. This is how I look at all of them!!
Depending on the farmer (livestock vs agricultural) they also don't really lose shit. The actual property owning farmers just close up their operation lease the land to a smaller operators and bare the cost themselves. Or they sell the land for 100s of millions to a major Corp or data center asshole.
The farmers are doing fine they are just batching about not making more profit than the year.
The farms that loose the most on all this BS have predominantly been fruit growers. Grain is so heavily subsidized that they barely give a shit as most of their production just goes to feed livestock and sent to get processed into other products. Livestock farmers are doing just fine as they also get ridiculously high subsidies and they just raise prices people will buy the meat regardless.
And he eliminated USAID and many of the food programs that bought excess produce, dairy, and meat from farmers. A fallback many could and would count on.
All true. But the story is still the death that their votes have cost already. They estimate that over 800,000 children have died as a direct result of their votes, because of the elimination of USAID!! I hope that farmers depend on what they are not getting. They all voted to get rid of those evil brown people and to build up their white privilege again. Not one honest person here can say any different. They voted with their hatred. Nothing else!
If anyone should understand “reap what you sow,” it’s farmers. They overwhelmingly voted for this shit because they wanted to hurt immigrants and marginalized communities. Zero sympathy from me.
Which is so fucking laughable, since immigrants are working predominantly as farm laborers. How anyone involved with food production thought this attack on immigrants would in any way benefit them boggles the mind. The mental gymnastics required are far beyond my comprehension.
Nope. No pity. They voted for a ‘businessman’ with more bankruptcies than successes. I don’t hate the fact they voted against their own self interest is coming back to bite them.
Half the idiots count all of his bankruptcies as proof of his business acumen… they just refuse to understand that he’s a bad person, bad businessman, bad president…
Yes it does. It bites back at people who voted against Trump but it also is biting people who simply decided to sit this out because it didn't matter to them. Well they're learning that it does matter. Or at least, if they're smart they will clue in.
Oh you can certainly bet that when I interact with them, I dumb down my comments for sure. Some subjects I don’t even broach with them, especially ones that are too complex. I can’t stand having to explain the first ten steps in the thought process for them, on things that they should know. They are okay following something with one or two levels. Beyond that they don’t know and it makes them angry so they tend to lash out and start name calling!
The catch-22 of most of them voting against their best interests because they are gullible enough to buy the culture war bullshit conservatives are selling?
That’s just the impact of his tariffs. By starting the war with Iran, and having Iran close the Strait of Hormuz, Trump not only raised the price of diesel fuel, which farmers require enlarge quantities and much of which travel through the strait to get here, but he also raised the price of fertilizer, much of which also travels through the strait.
