Tips & Advice How to start?
I’ve struggled with studying. I haven’t studied properly in about 6 years. But now in university I need to make a change and get good grades. Every time I sit down to start studying, I get distracted or I can’t focus. I don’t have ADHD or anything like that. If I start reading online books, I easily lose focus and tell myself maybe it’s not the right time right now. I keep waiting to be fresh and that just isnt happening and I keep procrastinating.
Any suggestions what can help?
And any additional advice as a computer science student?

You are a CSE Student, it's better to work on practical learning than to just read. Try to write code, spend time understanding the algorithm. Make notes, nowadays ai helps a lot in understanding the concepts easily. Take some breaks in between, it can help.

Do you use social media a lot? Do you think your attention span may be damaged

Look up mindfulness for studying. Your attention span is like a muscle. If you don't challenge it regularly, it will atrophy. Get accustomed to recognizing when your mind is wandering and how to bring it back to the task you're working on.

So I should try watching those videos and staying focused on them?

Whatever you're trying to do, when you notice your mind is wandering, bring it back. If you're watching video rewind a few seconds. It's important to notice when you're wandering but don't be judgmental about it. Notice it with curiosity an then redirect.
