Please explain what I saw

I don’t even know if anyone’s going to read this but this is the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to me and I’ve been through some crazy stuff and I still can’t explain it. this happened around 6 years ago, I would’ve been around 13/14 at the time. I was with a few of my childhood friends (still till this day we are still friends and none of us can explain what happened we just genuinely ignore it). We were “playing out” or whatever in a park/ field around 15 mins from our houses- no word of a lie we looked over and inbetween 2 bushes that were seperating both fields stood my friend Sophie. Her exact figure her exact face her exact clothes, we all knew it was her because she was a dancer and she had this certain posture lol. She also used to have a massive iPhone that she used to hold in a specific way that you would just recognise if you knew her. She lived close to us at the time and we were all in the same friendship group so we just started calling her name- she didn’t move or react so we called out a few times again until she turned around and ran into the bushes behind her. I know it sounds like one of those typical horror movies but this genuinely happened and it gets worse. We obviously think she’s taking the mick so we follow her and actually begin to get worried because we can’t find her (of course) I kid you not this part still baffles me to this day, we are in the little block of woods where she ran and we are calling out her name again and again and again until we hear her shout “IM HERE” in her EXACT voice I know it sounds crazy but she has a very specific voice, same tone and everything. Of course we can’t find her after that so we call her a few minutes later and she picks up very confused obviously, us still thinking it’s a joke she tells us she’s at her aunties house which is the OTHER side of town. A 20 minute drive away. But she was just here. She genuinely was at her aunties house that day and till this day I still ask her to tell me if she’s been keeping a running prank on us but she genuinely isn’t. I just would like some sort of explanation I guess I was watching Reddit stories on YouTube and I just thought I’d tell my weird encounter
I know some stories can seem a little made up sometimes but genuinely this is completely true- all 3 of us say the exact same thing about that day start to finish so I know I’m not crazy lol

Had a extremely odd experience the other day

• Upvotes

Has anyone ever happened to met or seen someone who looks literally identical to yourself? So long story short my friend was in a restaurant and sent me a photo of someone in the background who they thought was me and I couldn't believe it considering it actually did look just like me and not just appearance wise but also the height and mannerisms was also equivalent so it shook me a bit, almost thought my friend was pranking me using AI but she wore she didn't. The only difference was they had a tattoo on their hand and I have no tattoos, just curious if anyone else has had something similar happen.

I have weird, scary experiences and I’m not sure how to classify them. I’ve never heard anyone relate to this, its extremely difficult to explain.

extra info just in case: I’m a 16 year old girl in high school. I have anxiety and im medicated for it. depression runs in my family and I’m almost positive I have adhd, I just finished testing and Im waiting for a verdict.

Ever since I was little I’ve had this strange occurrence where I’ll see a place, ex: my neighborhood, my horse-riding barn, my house. And I’ll see it, but the I can switch it in my mind. It looks almost the exact same but slightly different, and it feels unfamiliar and dreamlike. It’s extremely hard to explain because of how similar it looks.

For example, when I was little, I had a dream/memory (I really can’t remember) where I was in my house, but it was different. I had an entirely different way of seeing the layout and even though the layout is the same, it was unfamiliar and dreamlike. My best effort at describing it is when you see a place for the first time.

when you see a place for the first tine, the layout is unfamiliar and looks different from when you actually know it like the back of your hand. over t8me you get used to seeing it and mapping it as a familiar place.

I’ve never had the issue where I’ve gotten stuck here except one time, where I was at my horse riding barn. Back when I used to ride horses, i was at a lesson one day. My dad pulled into the driveway of the barn and the entire thing looked the same, but unfamiliar. and I usually can switch it at will*, but this time I could not switch it back no matter how hard I tried *(Switching at will is difficult, like when you try to stop backflipping in a dream but you can’t control it easily)*. I was completely petrified and I had a panic attack, because I’m usually able to switch out of it. I was never able to switch out of it ever again, and now I see the barn in my memory as the dream like one. I will only occasionally switch back to the original, normal one.

Im not extremely worried about this in particular, but I have absolutely no idea what it is. I’ve never heard anyone else experience this and everything I search up doesnt line up with what I’m experiencing. id like to know what’s happening to me, because it’s really scary when it happens. sometimes when I switch it’s harder for me to switch back and it makes me freak out, kinda like when coraline got stuck in the other mothers house. it’s really scary.

Is my phone listening or somehow reading my mind?

Okay I know its going to soundcrazy or people are gonna think I'm lying but I swear to everything this thing happened today that I can't stop thinking about. So starting off with some back story today for dinner my wife wanted to cook some chicken breast outside on a blackstone griddle I have ( I obviously offered to cook it but she said she wanted to try as she has never cooked on one before) so I uncovered the black protector bag thing it comes with (I've had this griddle for a couple months). And I noticed that it had some rust on it which made sense since it had been raining all last week. I say out loud "damn it has some rust" all I said. I think in my head I'm just going to search up on YouTube If there's a way to get the rust off. I open up YouTube on my phone which had been in my pocket turned off and | literally just type in "how to get rust" and immediately YouTube suggested as the first suggestion "how to get rust off blackstone griddle" litterly the first suggestion. I froze for a second, Like there's is no way YouTube knew exactly what I was going to search, like there are a million things I could think off people search up how to get rust off of and by chance it knew exactly what I wanted to know down to the brand and everything after only having typed 4 words. Idk I feel like im going crazy and I have never ever searched up anything remotely close to that on YouTube.
Please someone tell me I'm not the only one that has had something similar like this happen.

Random guy called me at 2:29 AM knowing my name and I don’t know who he is

I’m trying to figure out if this is some kind of prank or if anyone has experienced something similar.

A random number called me twice around 2:29 AM. I didn’t answer, but they left voicemails saying my first name. I have a setting where unknown callers have to say why they’re calling, so that’s how I knew he said my name.

I texted the number asking “Who is this?” and he replied “call me.” I asked again who he was, and he said “stop doing allat js call me.” I told him I wasn’t calling until he told me who he was and asked again. He responded “fuck you then bitch.”

I ended up calling because I was confused. He told me his name, but I don’t know anyone with that name and I don’t recognize his voice. He said we met in the city I live in during Halloween last year.
I tried to see if he was telling the truth, so I asked if we met at a Halloween house party. He said yes, but I never went to a Halloween house party last year, so I know that part isn’t true.

Then he asked if I wanted to crack/hook up. I said no and hung up.

I texted him asking why he was texting me from a fake number. I assumed it was fake because I don’t know anyone from the state the number was from. He said “because I can.” I asked again who he actually was, and he told me to shut up and then blocked me.

I’m just confused because I don’t give my number out to people, and he knew my first name and the city I live in. Has anyone had something like this happen? Is this likely just a prank or someone being weird?

I like doing logic puzzles. My coworker thinks I’m psychic

So yeah, this… this is strange, right?

A couple of months ago, I started a part-time job to supplement my income thanks to a series of major repairs to my home. It’s just three nights a week for 4 hours each.

The staff there skew younger, think college-aged and young adult. They all talk with each other and generally don’t pay me any mind. I haven’t had any problems and it’s been a good job.

I take my breaks in the break room and usually just pass the time doing logic puzzles on my phone. One of my coworkers, I’ll call her Charlie, caught sight of one of my more colorful games and asked what it was. I showed her, gave her a sense of the play. She decided to download it and was trying it as I left to resume my shift.

Charlie and I typically only work one or two days together each week so I didn’t see her again until the following week. She mentioned she couldn’t figure out how the game worked and asked if I could show her again.

So on my break, I walked her through how I know where the queens are. She looked confused and said to me, “But how do you know they’re there before you tap it?” I tried to explain again, then she tried on her phone.

She showed me what she was doing and said, “See? I guessed wrong again. How are you always guessing right?”

I didn’t really know what to say to that and needed to get back to work, so I mumbled “I don’t know” and went on my way.

When I go back five days later, another coworker, Raul, asked if I was “really” psychic because he didn’t really believe in that stuff.

I said No, of course not and gave him my best quizzical look. But then at my next shift with Charlie, she called to me as I arrived. I went over and she said, “It’s psychic! She guesses right every single time, which is impossible! Show them, Blu!”

I tried to say again that it’s a logic puzzle, not being psychic, but Charlie seemed convinced. I didn’t really see any point in arguing anymore and ignored her stares the rest of my shift.

Weird text message mixup?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I was texting with my sister today when she got this message on her phone. What's so weird? That is MY name and MY TOWN blanked out there. Not hers, as the person owning the phone it was sent to, but mine, on the other side of the country. No idea who "Alex" is, I don't recognize the (445) number he was texting from & it doesn't come up anything when I search it.

I know this is a scam, I would never say yes to a rando offering roofing, but why was it addressed to me but sent to her while we were texting? It's freaking us out a little.

EDIT: Yes, I get that this is a spam text and they happen all the time, that doesn't really need to be pointed out to me. The creepy part is that it was a text addressed to me, sent to my sister, as we were texting.

Odd Happening

So I'd like to hear some opinions on this odd situation that happened to me this weekend.

I have outdoor cameras for security, although I live in a decent neighborhood and have only had to use their photo one time in close to a decade. Better safe than sorry in my mind. They automatically activate at 9 PM and trigger on motion, and then turn off at 7 AM. I check them in the morning and 99.9% of it has been insects, passing cars, etc.

Sunday morning I checked and the one over my garage, on the right (while facing towards) side of my house had triggered around midnight, capturing someone who came into frame like they had come out from beside my house. I live in a neighborhood, and there is a house close beside me on either side (like 30 feet away, not 3, so a bit of yard space between us) but that side of my house only has the gate to my back yard. The neighbor's gate is on the far side of their house, so there would be no reason to go into that section of yard, barring yard work or doing something to their fence. The video it captured was someone walking away from my house, but stepping onto my driveway and walking past my car to do so. They didn't slow, they didn't reach out/look at my car, they just walked away from my house while walking down my driveway. My back yard has a camera above my door that catches a large chunk of my back yard, but it doesn't cover the gate so theoretically someone could have come in the gate, but I have nothing of value near the gate, or in the entire yard for that matter. The back of the head looks a LOT like the teenager that lives next door with his parents. Same hair cut/texture and height and the shirt looks vaguely like one I've seen him wear.

However, if it WAS the neighbor kid, why would he have not walked to his left, towards his house, instead of to his right and onto my driveway? What purpose would he have had being between our houses in that spot in the first place? I've come up with two vague ideas, the first being he's smoking weed and since there are no windows on that side of his house, he's going where his parents can't see him. The other is that he was in his back yard, and somehow something went over the fence and since the fence between our yard has seen better days, he made the smart choice and walked around his house and into my yard to get it, although I would have expected his return path to have hugged his house closer instead of going onto my driveway. Of course, this also presume it WAS the neighbor kid. I guess it could have been someone wandering the neighborhood who isn't from here, but in that case if they're going into yards that deep, they're looking for stuff to steal, so I would have expected him to check out my car.

The neighbor kid comes out and works on his truck from time to time, so my thought is to maybe just ask him if it was him the next time he's doing that. I'm not mad at him, especially since there's nothing for him to screw with on the side of my house, and what he did on camera was just walk away. I'm just super confused why he was there in the first place. I'm not looking to get him in trouble with his parents, since he wasn't doing anything other than walking away from my house, so I don't want to go over and ask them if it was him.

Thoughts?

glitch or just weird happening??

The other day I was rekindling with a friend and wowww. Us heing together brought some memories back. One being- on April fools day about 12 years ago, she, another friend at the time, and I were leaving her house. She lived in the fancy neighborhood in our small town, and it being the fancy neighborhood, it was surrounded by nothing but corn/bean fields. About 10 miles from town itself, and each road to town being sketchy until you finally made it to the main one.
So we’re walking out, it’s dusk, and we see this lady appear from the field. She looks disheveled, hair a mess and clothes ripped and dirty. She approaches us, and we seeing her approach and we naturally get nervous, as we’re teens at this time. Luckily, at the same time, the others friends mom pulls up in her car to pick us up or drop something off- don’t remember. But she comes up to us and her moms yells from the car for her to come to her, not us.
The strange woman listened and approached her mom, asking where the road was.
Her mom just responds, from her drivers seat- “you’re standing on it ma’am”
the strange woman looks terrified by the answer and my friends mom says for us to just get in the car.
We get in and as she drives away, the girl is no where to be seen.
There’s no crops up at this time of year, so you can see everything for a few miles.
What was this???

Strange experience

I was watching a movie, in the seat next to me there was a boy 12-13 ish... He kept looking at me throughout the movie. After the movie I had to pee and I met him again while washing my hands. As I was exiting the theater, he smiled again I smiled back and said bye. HE WALKED OVER TO ME AND GAVE ME A HUG (4 -5 SECOND LONG) - I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS KID BEFORE. - he said "love u bye"

My husband helped me but it wasn't my husband.

About three months ago I (46f) contracted Covid and then was diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctor gave me a fast acting inhaler if needed. I did have some wheezing but nothing too serious.

About a week after the pneumonia diagnosis I was asleep in bed and jolted awake. I couldn't breathe, literally just could not catch my breath. Then my husband came though our bedroom door and started rubbing my chest and telling me to breathe. I was able to finally catch my breath and started breathing again, abet a little shaky.

I closed my eyes for just a second and then looked up to tell my husband thank you. He was however not there. I though maybe he had went to another room. So still a little shaky I get out of bed and start looking for him. He's nowhere to be found and his car is not in the driveway. I call him and he had left almost an hour earlier and said I was sleeping just fine when he left.

So any advice? I know I wasn't sleeping when this happened and I remembered everything about it to this day? I mean I almost feel like I might be losing my mind here so any help would be great.

Chasing a feeling

So I'm a M30, and I've been experiencing a feeling of wanting to move away somewhere but its the feeling part that stumps me. Let me elaborate, I have a great family, great friends I'm not depressed and have a very good job. The problem is every now and then I get this intense feeling that I need to live somewhere else and experience that FEELING I've been chasing for. Its so odd like it feel like a change would be good but the place I move to needs to feel the way I'm feeling. Its going to sound dumb but I want to live in a gloomy city with not too many people living in it and connect with them. It feels gloomy, grey, like nothing is going on in that city but yet you find people and things to feel. Idk if I'm explaining this right. I would love some help with this. Do I sound weird? Help.

No sé cómo explicarlo exactamente.

My 5-year-old daughter has been drawing the same man for three weeks. What could be reason?

My 5-year-old daughter has been drawing the same man for three weeks.

A tall man. No eyes. Standing beside her bed.

Yesterday, I finally asked her who he was.

She looked confused.

“Daddy, you see him too, right?”

I laughed nervously. “See who, sweetheart?”

“The man who watches you sleep.”

I stopped breathing.

I live alone with my daughter. Her mother died two years ago.

That night, I checked every room, locked every window, and slept with the lights on.

At 2:13 AM, I heard my daughter whispering in her bedroom.

things that reappear

Hi everyone, I need an outside opinion about my situation because it's really starting to freak me out, even though I'm not someone who freaks out over just anything. To give you some context, I'm 19 and I've been in a relationship for two years. This summer, I went on vacation like every year, and as usual, I bought my boyfriend a bracelet to have as a souvenir—you know, it's really important to me. This bracelet was attached to a kind of tag and held on with a staple (I hope you understand). When I gave him the bracelet, we put them on at the same time, and then we removed the two staples holding it together and, of course, threw them in the trash (it might seem strange or completely insignificant). Except that for weeks and weeks now, I keep finding the same staple every day, and no matter how many times I throw it away, it always comes back. I find it extremely creepy because I don't have a stapler or anything like that at home, so there's no logical explanation for it. I might find a maximum of three a day, and I always end up throwing them away as soon as I leave the house. If anyone has an explanation for all this, please let me know. I'm all for that; I tend to take it as a sign, even though everything is going well with my boyfriend.
