Update: Got Fired

I posted here recently about being concerned about losing my job despite working my ass off, all because the manager with the power to make that call decided she had some kind of personal problem with me, despite me not even knowing her.

Well, I worked even harder, did everything I could, got super positive feedback from all my coworkers and supervisors, and she fired me anyway.

I’m still not going to drink, I know it won’t help, but god am I fucking pissed. I’m going to lose my house and have to move back to my home town. I have no health insurance now and I’m a type 1 diabetic. This has completely uprooted my life, and all because one petty person has way too much power. Fuck, man…

My late brother was a T1 diabetic, he passed in 2024 due to alcohol and benzos addiction. Staying sober will put you in such a better position to mange your health - you are making the right choice to protect and look after yourself. You will get another job and keep growing. IWNDWYT

I am pissed with you! This person will have her karma. When you succeed in something (you quit alcohol), it shows as light around you. Those crippled soul-empty people can’t tolerate it. Fuck them.

It took me quitting alcohol, getting to my ideal weight and training my body through exercise for my employer to get rid of me. Fuck them.

Stay strong! Relocate, do not think.
