Goodday Star Wars gamers!
I have another story to tell you, this time about my experience as being a gamemaster in the 212th Attack Battalion in ARMA3.
Since I have joined the 212th unit on ARMA3, I have wanted to make my own missions, control the enemies and make the players feel like they are actually fighting in the Clone Wars.
That is something that I really like about ARMA3, it is super divers and it has a lot of possibilities.
I have been making missions for the last month and people really seem to like them, I mainly focus on hard but fair objectives where people have to really think. Plan their approach and mistakes will be met with a CIS punishment. But also make fun, as you can see in the GIF. I took control of a B2, "scared" a player that was defusing an IED.
Being a Zeus, as we call the gamemaster, gives you a lot of options to form the missions as you see fit, from putting down the bases that GAR, CIS, Mandalorians or even umbarans use, filling them with B1, B2, BX, T-series droids, deka's, crabs, AAT's and other enemies and setting up patrols.
But also being the lore giver, informant and maybe even an actor during a mission.
As a DnD gamemaster, being a Zeus in ARMA3 really brings my imagination to the screen, and seeing players enjoying my missions just gives me more enthausiasm to make the missions for them!
If you ever want to try it out, give me a DM! I know a lot of you have great ideas and putting them to the test for players would be the best way!
One thing that I also like about it, it is not mandatory, nothing really is in the unit, just have fun!
For now I mainly make Skirmishes, these are smaller missions/operations during the week, this is also a great time to test out stuff.
But personally I am also looking into becoming a main Zeus for one of the 4 platoons in the 212th Attack Battalion.
Thank you again Star Wars gamers, and see you the next time when I post something about my time in the 212th or maybe even on the battlefield!
