This is regarding how much to charge.

Basically at this point, I don’t know how much brands are willing to pay. How do other creators charge? I want to know, I’m very curious. I have about 48k followers, with good reach.. almost 150-300k views per reel and i make food recipes content.
Can someone help me with this?
Agencies don’t wanna pay even half of the rates.
It’s really getting difficult to make money here 😭

How Do You Handle Sharing Media Clips and Media Owned Photos on Social?

Hi,

I manage executive and company social accounts, and I often download and cut down clips from podcasts and other broadcast interviews to share on clients’ X and LinkedIn accounts. Most of my clients have been fairly comfortable with the (perceived) low risk of doing so without explicit permission and have asked me to follow this same "process" for speed or were already doing this.

However, I’m now working with more risk-averse clients, and I’m trying to figure out the right approach to be consistent. A few questions for anyone who has navigated this:

  • Do you reach out to each outlet (Bloomberg, etc.) for permission before posting interview clips?
  • Is there a difference between leveraging material for organic and paid use?
  • Some clients also want to use photos that outlets take during interviews or shoots, including the New York Times. How do you handle those?
  • Do you just reach out to each outlet have its own licensing or permissions contact? I reached out to the NYT for licensing of a video they created of my client's products via their online form but never heard back. Is it best to ask the producer who booked the interview, or are they usually not the right person for this? Is there a lead time to expect? Typically, my clients want to post right away. When we line these interviews up, should we ask the producers to route us for permissions in advance?
  • Do outlets actually care when a company or executive shares an interview clip organically? I understand the concern with photos taken by an outlet's photographer or a video of b-roll created, for example, but when the clip is simply the executive speaking and sharing from their channel, is it treated differently?
  • For some clients, where it makes sense, I repost the outlet’s content or link to clips hosted on the outlet’s site instead of uploading them natively. But most content isn’t available in a shareable format from the outlet, and links and reposts typically underperform native video on LinkedIn and X.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Trying to sift through my followers - need an app

I have a lot of followers and a social media manager. I recently tasked her with trying to sort through my followers to make lists based on how many followers they have. Her solution was to suggest I pay to have my own Instagram scraped. I feel like...this can't be the answer. I feel like there should be a social media management app (paid is fine) that would let you sort through your followers - something like filter by > followers > over 50,000 or something like that. Help???

Tiktok videos stalling at 20-30 views

I was finally starting to get momentum and get past 300 views and then my last two videos got 20-30 views.

I understand not every video is going to be successful, but usually they get about 200 by default. Why are my last two stalling out at a fraction of that? Anybody else have an issue like this?

New TikTok account had 100k+ views, now two of my last three posts don't get any For You views AT ALL

I started posting five days ago. Several early videos reached around 100k-200k views, almost entirely from For You views (99%+)
Here is the progression of views from video to video over the last couple days since I made the account:
150k -> 150k -> 55k -> 200k -> 75k -> !! 390 !! -> 11k -> !! 24 !!

One reached 390 views, with 99.5% from my profile and less than 0.1% from For You.

The next reached 11k views, with 96.4% from For You

The newest had just 25 views after roughly 1 hour. Traffic sources aren't available yet but I am pretty confident that this one has no For You views as well.

All the other successful videos have 95%+ of views from For You

I haven't found any For You ineligibility warnings or account notices. Everything was posted through Buffer, including the successful videos. I am confident that this can't be explained by a drop in quality.

Has anyone experienced this? How did you figure out whether it was a review/restriction issue or something else?

How Can I Track Exact Engagement for Facebook Group Posts & Regular Posts?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to understand how to track engagement accurately for Facebook Group posts compared with regular Facebook Normal posts.

In Meta Business Suite's Content Library, I can see metrics such as views, viewers, engagement, follows, and impressions for my Page content. However, I'm unsure how to get the same engagement breakdown for posts published inside Facebook Groups.

My questions are:

  1. Where can I find the exact engagement numbers for regular Facebook Page posts?
  2. How can I track engagement on posts published in Facebook Groups?
  3. Does Meta Business Suite provide these metrics for both, or do Group posts need to be tracked separately?
  4. Is there a way to see reactions, comments, shares, clicks, and reach for both post types?

I'm looking for a reliable method to compare their performance without missing metrics or double-counting engagement.

What method or tool do you use to track this accurately? Any practical guidance would be appreciated.

How do you check that video captions are easy to read before publishing?

Do you check text size, timing and contrast on a phone, or use another method? I would like a simple check that can be repeated before publishing, especially for viewers reading in a second language.

I want to start a business content page, but I haven’t built a business myself. Is this idea worth pursuing?

I’m 23, and I’ve realised that I genuinely enjoy talking about businesses, understanding how they work, and asking founders questions. I’m also willing to put in the effort to learn, read, research and upskill myself.

But there’s one thing I’m confused about.

I haven’t built a business of my own, so I don’t feel qualified to give people business advice or act like a coach. I don’t want to pretend that I know everything when I’m still learning myself.

Instead, I want to start a business content page where I talk to founders and document how they actually built their businesses.

Think about it: there are already so many podcasts where people interview CEOs of large companies. I enjoy watching them, but I often come away feeling motivated rather than knowing what I should actually do to get started.

These founders have achieved incredible things, but some of their strategies were relevant to a different time. The market, technology, customer behaviour and opportunities have changed significantly. Someone trying to start a business in 2026 might be dealing with a very different reality.

What I want to understand is the actual zero-to-one journey.

I want to talk to founders who started relatively recently, perhaps four or five years ago, and have managed to build businesses generating several crores in revenue or even reach the million-dollar mark.

I want to ask them questions like:

  • How did you identify the problem you wanted to solve?
  • How did you validate your idea before investing money?
  • How much capital did you actually need to get started?
  • What did your first few customers look like, and how did you acquire them?
  • What mistakes cost you money, and what would you do differently if you were starting today?
  • If someone wanted to build a business in 2026, with limited money and no business background, where should they begin?

I’m particularly interested in the decisions, failures and practical steps that often get lost when we hear the polished success story.

I also feel that many people want to start something of their own but are afraid of taking the risk. They’re unsure whether to quit their jobs, how much money they need, whether their idea is good enough or whether they should even begin.

I’d like to create content that helps people understand these decisions through the experiences of people who have actually gone through them, instead of simply telling them what they should do.

I’m not claiming to be a business expert. My role would be to ask better questions, find interesting founders, research their businesses and make their experiences useful for people who are just starting out.

My questions for people here:

  1. Does this concept offer any real value, or would people see it as just another founder interview page?
  2. Would you watch short videos that break down the actual process of building a business, rather than long podcasts about successful people?
  3. What would make this kind of content genuinely useful to someone who wants to start a business but doesn’t know where to begin?
  4. Do you think not having built a business myself would make it difficult to build credibility, even if I’m interviewing people who have?

I’m not looking for motivational comments or people telling me to just follow my passion. I’d genuinely appreciate criticism, especially from people who have built businesses or tried creating content in this space.

I’m trying to figure out whether this is a worthwhile idea to pursue and, more importantly, what I might be missing.

Why am I using 5 different tools to manage social media?

Maybe this is just me, but my social media workflow currently looks something like:

ChatGPT → content ideas

Canva → design

Scheduler → publishing

Analytics tool → reporting

Inbox → replies

Spreadsheet → planning

And then I'm somehow supposed to call this an

"efficient workflow"😂

I'm curious if anyone has actually found a social media management tool that brings more of this together. Especially now that Al tools are becoming more capable.

Would you rather have one platform that can actually execute tasks, or do you prefer having separate best-in-class tools?

Went viral on my Facebook page (20M views) but barely earning. What should my next steps be?

Hey everyone, looking for advice from social media managers or anyone who’s grown a page that actually makes money.

My page is in the geography and history niche. Recently it blew up:

  • Facebook: 20M views, around 75K followers
  • TikTok: [75K] followers
  • YouTube: [8K subscribers / 100K views?]

The problem is I’m only earning from views, and it’s not much. I want to figure out how to turn this growth into real income.

Right now my “strategy” is just uploading good content every week, plus some photo posts. That’s it. I don’t have an actual plan.

So my questions are:

  1. What should I be doing daily or weekly to keep the momentum going?
  2. What are the best ways to monetize a Facebook page beyond view payouts?
  3. How should I be connecting Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube so they help each other grow?

Any techniques, tips, or next steps would be a huge help. Thanks in advance!

Creators who have built an audience, I would love to hear from you!

I'm interested in hearing from creators who have built a business around their social media audience, whether it's been successful or not!

I'm exploring the idea of becoming a behind the scenes, commercial operator for creators/influencers, and I want to understand what it's actually like to build a business as a creator, alongside the content and brand deals! Brands are making money from the audiences and communities creators have built, but how many creators are actually turning that attention into a sustainable business of their own?

From the research I've been doing, it seems like loads of creators are spending hours making content every week and relying on brand deals, affiliate links and social media algorithms to keep money coming in.

Having had experience building and running businesses myself, I know how much time and effort can go into building something. There's the product development, whether that be digital or physical, figuring out what people will actually buy, building sales funnels, creating memberships and managing all the operations.

Now, I'm curious whether there's a gap for someone who can take some of that responsibility off a creator's hands.

So if you're a creator, I'd love to know:

  • What's been the hardest part of turning your audience into money aside from brand deals?
  • Have you ever wanted to launch something but struggled to get it off the ground?
  • Is there anything on the business side you wish someone else could just take care of?
  • Do you enjoy running the business side of things, or would you rather focus on creating and have someone else handle it?

I'm not trying to sell anything here! I'm trying to understand what creators struggle with and whether this is a problem worth solving.

Would love to hear about your experiences, including if things that haven't worked!

Thank you to everyone who has shared an insight!

YouTube Premium, Snapchat+, Meta One what are people's experience with them?

I have been shocked at the rise of subscription services on social media. I was just curious as to what people's experience with them. Do they love it? hate them? Why, why not?

Is it worth creating a separate Facebook page for affiliate marketing/content creation?

Hey y’all! I’m fairly new to affiliate marketing and would love some advice from those who have been doing it for a while!

I currently have a personal Facebook profile that is monetized with a few thousand followers. I occasionally share affiliate links and actually do pretty well with them considering I’m still a beginner!

I’ve been considering creating a separate Facebook page specifically for affiliate marketing, product recommendations, and content creation. My biggest hesitation with continuing to post on my personal profile is that I don’t want to constantly bombard my friends and family with links.

For those of you who have experience with this, would you recommend starting a separate page and building an audience specifically interested in that type of content? Or would it make more sense to continue growing my personal profile since I already have an established following?

I’m also curious if anyone has made the switch and noticed better engagement, reach, or earnings.

I’d love to hear your experiences and opinions!

EDIT TO ADD: For those of you who DID create a separate page, what did you name it? Did you use your first and last name, or did you come up with something different, like a brand name?

My personal Facebook profile is already public, so I’m worried that having two pages with essentially the same name might be confusing. My first name is Katherine, but I go by Katie, so I’ve considered using “Katie” for the new page instead. Did you stick with your own name or create something completely different? And if anyone has any name suggestions, I’m all ears! I feel like I am overthinking it, so your advice has helped me A LOT, thank you 😊

I spent a year building a social platform around polling. Curious what people think of the concept.

I’ve spent the past year building Pollzy, a social platform where people swipe through polls, vote, see what others think, and discover people based on shared opinions.

I recently launched it after building everything solo, and I’m now facing the challenge of getting people to actually use a new social platform.

I’m curious what this community thinks. Does a polling-first social network have potential?

Would genuinely appreciate some critical feedback.

How do you handle resuming scheduled posts after a crisis pause?

I'm a product designer trying to understand a part of social media work that doesn't get talked about much.

Most tools (Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout, etc.) let you pause or suspend all scheduled posts when something happens: a tragedy, an outage, a brand issue. I'm curious about the other end of it. When it's time to resume, what actually happens?

Is it quick, or does it take real work to sort out what still makes sense to post?

Who decides what goes back out: you, the client/brand, legal, someone else?

If you work agency-side with multiple clients or markets, does that change things?

Ps: Not selling anything or promoting a tool. Just trying to learn how this works in practice. Any experience helps, including "it's honestly no big deal.

How to Approve Social Posts before Publishing - TikTok, etc.

Hello community members. I have a question I'm looking for guidance with, and I'm hoping someone here has the answer. I work at a school and am interested in setting up a school TikTok account for the first time; however, I want 99% of the content to be created by our students. I want to give students direct access to the TikTok account and approve their posts before they are published. I understand that with programs like Buffer, I can do this if students submit the post through Buffer itself. However, this is not ideal, as I want to create a workflow that is as simple as possible for students. If I ask them to create something on TikTok and then upload it to Buffer, it may be too many steps and could discourage participation. Is there an easy way, without spending thousands of dollars, to accomplish this wish? I want students to be able to compose posts naturally on TikTok, and for administrators like me to review the content and hit publish ourselves. Thanks so much!

Anyone recruites actors to act in their videos or shorts?

Is there an app or website that builds a social media strategy and generates content based on your answers to a few questions?

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a tool (app or website) where you can input information about your business, niche, or goals by answering a series of questions, and it automatically creates a full social media strategy and generates ready-to-use content based on those answers.

Ideally, something that helps with planning and content creation without needing to prompt everything manually from scratch.

Does anyone know of a tool like this? Recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

How do you handle music for brand Reels/TikToks?

Genuine question for people managing brand accounts. Where does your music come from: trending sounds, a library like Epidemic, something custom? Have you ever had a video muted or taken down over music? And what’s the most annoying part of the whole thing?

Fail After Fail. What Am I Missing?

I used to be an instagram editor (transition edits with AE and Video Star, multi-fandom animation & comics) back during 2019-2022, and I had a really healthy account. I would make edits, the views would come, average 600-1000, and the likes and followers would soon follow. Definitely was getting at least 50-100 likes a video, good ratios for the most part. Even had the occasional viral post. At my peak, I had 900 followers.

After 2022, the community I was a part of pretty much died. People became inactive, I lost interest, and I would edit in bursts (a video every 6 months). I've recently began editing on a consistent basis, but the landscape is so much different now. All of my followers are dead and I receive practically zero engagement. After doing the math myself, I'm averaging 119 views and 7 likes a video, no followers gained at all. Yikes.

I figured if I was going to be editing regularly again, I should make a tiktok and post on there as well as my instagram account. I've had significantly better reach on tiktok, but it's not as consistent as I'd like. Another thing slightly bothering me is that I only have 11 followers, but I've been posting for about 2 and a half months. Not as consistently as I would always like, but I have 14 posts since the end of July.

At the end of the day, I'm still going to edit (for the love of the game, it's almost a 10 year hobby of mine) but are any tips or insights as to how I can fix the inconsistency here? Especially the instagram account, it's a shell of what it once was... What am I missing here? Or has the algorithm just changed that drastically?

LinkedIn or X for building a professional audience?

I only have time to do one properly.

LinkedIn gets more reach, but half the feed reads like a motivational poster. X has better conversations but unless you already have followers it feels like posting into the void.

If you have used both, which one helped you build a professional audience better and how long did it take?
