First tournament held in my country and I wanted to share this achievement with everyone.

I live in a college town, and a local shop in my area is hosting a one-time brawl tournament. I'm not too worried about the skill-level of people here since it's a smaller town, but I'm more worried about how to win since the tournament has a unique ruleset.

The rules are:

- No items

- 3 lives

- 4 player match

- No Meta Knight

Since it's a free for all, I'm not too sure what my strategy will be. There's no rule posted about stages, so I'll assume it's any stage. I'm pretty sure it'll be single elimination as well.

Any tips on how to win this? I have a pocket Ice Climbers that I used to use to troll my friends, but I don't think it'll work in a ffa. I'm thinking of using Dedede since he's a little heavier and has a good chain grab for 1v1s. I'll probably just camp or circle around the stage if anyone approaches since I'm really looking to win this. The prize is a Switch 2 and my wife really wants one so I gotta try my hardest haha.

Which character should I choose? Anything I should be aware of?

Need help, just wanting to get into smash melee on an old GameCube. I have these cheap remake controllers and the inputs are hot garbage and sticks already are drifting after a week. Any solid recommendations from people on what controllers i should get. I’m not looking to compete I’m just trying to be able to enjoy the game with friends. I got an OEM Controller of eBay and the sticks up and down didn’t work.

I’m looking at the phantom xyab gcc v2 etc just want some reccs. I’m playing on GameCube.

Around the time i got to Robin, i got bored of actually thinking about who to put where, so i just went with symmetry to feed my OCD
