Discussion Most of Androids phones are better than iphone

Honestly, I think most Android phones are more practical and functional than iPhones.

I know iPhones have their advantages, especially when it comes to video recording and the Apple ecosystem, but when it comes to everyday usability and freedom, I genuinely prefer Android.

You can install APKs from outside the Play Store, download videos directly, manage your storage, access folders, transfer files, and delete whatever you no longer need without unnecessary restrictions. You have much more control over how you use your device.

Transferring photos between your phone and PC is a perfect example. With Android, you connect your phone using a USB cable, select File Transfer, open File Explorer, and drag and drop images in either direction. It's simple and straightforward.

With an iPhone, transferring photos through a USB cable to a Windows PC can involve additional steps, such as installing Apple's Devices app and using Microsoft's Photos app to import pictures. Managing files directly through File Explorer is also more limited compared with Android. And when you want to remove certain photos from your iPhone, you may find that you can't simply delete them the same way you would on Android.

The same philosophy applies to downloading videos, installing apps outside the official store, changing launchers, customizing your interface, and managing files. Android gives you more options and lets you choose how you want to do things.

Of course, iPhones have their strengths, and Apple's ecosystem can be convenient if you own several Apple devices. But I value freedom, flexibility, and straightforward functionality more than being locked into one ecosystem.

A phone should be a tool that works for you, not a system that dictates how you use it.

For me, Android wins because it offers more flexibility, more control, and a more straightforward approach to everyday tasks.

Yes iphone wins in Camera departments except maybe the S series

But any android or most of them with Gcam produce great shots

Iphone also wins that when people see you carrying iphone they take it as a social plus

Besides that iphone is so hard to use

Does anyone else feel that Android is simply easier to live with, especially when it comes to file management and everyday functionality?

Recommendation Anyone using flagship phones other than Apple/Samsung?

I’ve been on a Samsung S23 Ultra for 3 years now. Great phone, but honestly I’m tired of paying premium prices just for the brand.

Recently tried out a friend’s Tecno (around 90k PKR) and was surpriseds with olid battery, smooth performance, good camera, and display quality that didn’t feel “budget” at all.

So I’m curious:

  • Has anyone here used flagship‑level phones from Tecno, Infinix, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, or Redmi?
  • Which models stand out in terms of value for money?
  • Any long‑term reliability issues I should know about?

Looking for real experiences before I decide on my next upgrade.

Phone Help 📱 Oppo phone having random line flickering moments

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My Oppo Reno 14 is having random moments where lines flicker like this. It has happened twice so far and I noticed one of the points remained in the top corner but the line itself was more vertical. They disappear when I touch the screen. I have no idea if it's a hardware or software based issue. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Phone Help 📱 Budget phone - under 25k - suggestions please

Hello everyone,

I’m looking to buy a budget smartphone in the 25k range and would prefer not to exceed that budget.

My usage is pretty basic. I mostly browse social media while travelling or watch movies for a few hours. I don’t take many pictures, so a decent camera would be good enough.

Considering my usage and budget, which phones would you recommend? Would appreciate your suggestions.

Thanks!!

Question Should I be worried ?

Post image

Hi guys, my university has an application which is used for doing tests given by faculty. After recent updates this app now asks for mandatory device ADMIN permission to do test

I know it's the top most permission required for a smartphone but I am kinda concerned about the quality of their security and my phone's data getting stolen

I may just be overthinking, please let me know what you think about this "Secure Student Testing Application" too

Thanks in advance for your comments 🙂

Discussion What is a smartphone feature you paid extra for but literally NEVER use?

Companies love to hype up massive features to justify charging huge prices. They promise 100x space zoom, insane 8K video recording, heavy multitasking modes, or massive gaming processors. But when I look at how I actually use my phone daily, 90% of my time is just WhatsApp, scrolling Reddit, and taking casual photos of my food or dog. I feel like I bought a supercar just to drive it to the grocery store. What’s a premium feature on your current phone that you thought you needed, but you've honestly forgot even exists? Let's hear them!
