Kinda surprised there are so many tix left to the Hollywood bowl show
That’s it. They seem to be pushing it pretty hard still, I would have thought it would sell out

Anybody else see this, and did your opinion of the man change?

I saw they posted this on Instagram and wondering if they are hints as to who the guest will be? Thoughts?

I love when the guys know the people/person they are interviewing. It just makes the time go by so much faster when they end up just bantering back and forth with a buddy, as opposed to the forced ones of who has a new movie/song coming out. I just listened to the Seth Meyer episode and it was just fun. It seemed like the older episodes, that I miss so much.

I like to try to guess the guests, so I do everything I can to hide the title of the episode. It would be awesome if there was a second feed of Smartless with just the episode number. I know it'll never happen, and I'm OK with that... Does anyone else try and guess the guest?

After the guests leave, give the guests the accolades and praise as most deserve. And then keep the conversation going about what they are doing the rest of the day/week, or at least spend some time making fun of Jason. Take us out for breakfast afterwards instead of the wham-bam-thank you ma'am that it's become.

Andrew Garfield asked the guys if they'd read Andre Agassi's autobiography, Open. At least one hadn't. His review: "It's so good," a book by an athlete who hates his sport, starting with the first line, "I hate tennis."
I run Podshelf, a free site that tracks book mentions across hundreds of podcasts by reading the episode transcripts. This is the SmartLess slice for September.
Garfield also brought up The Magic Faraway Tree, the Enid Blyton book behind the family film he was promoting.
The Lord of the Rings came up in the Matthew Rhys re-release: Tolkien based Elvish on Welsh, which got an "Are you kidding me?" from someone in the room.
And Benny Blanco has a book out, Fuck Failure, about "how to fail upwards."

One book in six episodes. That is a record low for this show and I am reporting it honestly.
I run Podshelf, a free site that tracks book mentions across hundreds of podcasts by reading the episode transcripts. This is the SmartLess slice for August, which is one line long.
Brian Cox, asked why he got into science, gave two answers. One was the film Contact. The other was Cosmos by Carl Sagan.
That is it. That is the month. In fairness the Brian Cox episode was good, and Sagan is a defensible single data point.

Dumbfounded. I have no words.

Hi, after the Sandra Bullock episode, Jason mentioned episodes where he got emotional/cried (he said Michael Lewis being another). There was an episode one summer where Will openly wept but I can't remember who it was with (https://www.smartless.com/episodes) Anyone remember by chance?

Five episodes and two books, so this is a small one. Posting it anyway since both are good.
Two decent summer reads if you want something about the craft of making things.
What this is: I run Podshelf, a free site that tracks book mentions across hundreds of podcasts by reading the episode transcripts. This is the July slice for SmartLess.

For me it’s easy, Kevin Hart. I’m not a fan to begin with, but he was just drunk and rambling and way too vulgar.
